Great vid, helped me change both inner and outer rods on my 2010 mazda 3. One question about tightening the castle nut. I did it by feel but I'm afraid I over tightened it, but the way I did it looks similar to this video. Should a cotter pin rest above the castle nut, as shown in the vid? Or should it sit within the castle nut ridges to prevent the nut from moving?

I don't think it make any difference, as long as it is tight enough you are good. The pin is just as redundancy/extra safety to avoid the nut to come loose.

You say no torque setting for outer and you also say for inner. That is contrary to several sources that indicate torque for both inner & outer. Also some say to turn the wheel in proper direction when loosening inner TR and tightening so as not to load rack. What say you?

my outer tire-rods from 1 aauto lasted 2 years (throughout the pandemic). Not worth putting a warranty claim. I just ordered Moog tie-rods that are greaseable instead. The moogs have lasted 5 years and counting on my other vehicle.

Do these tie rods need to be greased after installation? Most outer tie rods that I've seen have a grease bib to pump grease into the tie rod after installation.

+Reboot153 Our tie rods have the grease sealed internally and would not need to be greased after installation. +1A Auto

My nut is very rusted and seized with the tie rod end. Someone has a tip to remove it?
