Really appreciate your video and it would be helpful instead of talking through what to do, is to show what to do for us newbies that have no idea what to do🤟
We have an older 36" Thermador. I called their service/parts and they helped me get the correct hinge. Ours is old enough that all the screws were phillips head and the hinge attached to a bracket that had to be removed once the door was apart. Not to difficult & it works great! Thanks for the vid!
4:56 Installing the oven door. This helped us put our oven door back on. One of the hinges stayed up even without the lock latch thing in place, so we thought the other was broken. It turns out we didn't follow the procedure correctly. Thank you
Removing oven door hinges you should warn people not put their thumbs and /or fingers in the way of the spring loaded hinge where the hinge lock is located. Those hinges are powerfully spring loaded. If the lock is accidentally released it will spring close and is strong enough to take off chunks of skin with it. That should be a safety warning on all oven door repair videos! I could believe what I was seeing watching your video! Be more careful! just a safety tip.
Thanks for your video. I followed this procedure and replaced my hinges. It now closes very tightly (it is a soft close model) but when you open the door past the broil setting it would fall freely (fast) to wide open. Any idea if there is another adjustment?
Hi thanks for the vid! My question were do I buy my hinge? It's a GE PROFILE™ 27" BUILT-IN SINGLE CONVECTION WALL OVEN MODEL PK916SR2SS. Thanks in advance.
So after replacing both hinges, my door was closing too strongly. It would not stay open. Finally I learned that one hinge is supposed to be passive (without a spring) and only one of them has a spring.. After swapping the old passive hinge in for one of the spring attached one, the door functions as it should.
I am trying to find out how to get to the screw for the handle on my Kelvinator KC9650TLE ? The screw has come loose from the handle on one side but I cannot access the screw as it is under the glass. the manual does not mention how to remove the glass- is it on with magnet or how do I get to the inside of the door? there is nothing on youtube
I forgot to add the manufacturer and part number in the description. I believe I mention Mansfield as the part manufacturer in the video, but I''ll have to go back and make sure.
I inserted the hinges at the bottom left and right into the stove and then pulled the door open so I could get to the screw holes and fasten the hinges in.
That has to be the worst "HOW TO" instructional video I have ever seen. He never" showed" how to anything, just what various things looked before and after. Ok, he did flip a door release lever to remove door and back for installation, but didn't remove or install door, and removed 1 screw and dropped out the hinge from a door that was takes apart off camera. People want to actually see "how to do it"
