Bought these NTK O2 sensors. 2 (23161), (23162), and (23165). I had to research on where to install the sensors and in which Bank (1 or 2) plus front or rear. UPADATE: TOOK MY 2014 5.7 LITER V-8 HEMI TRADESMEN EXTENDED CAB (QUAD CAB) TRUCK TO AUTOZONE. THE CLERK REPROGRAMMED MY TRUCK WITH THE OBD II AND MY TRUCK CRANKED UP PERFECT WITH NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT! WOW! I had the clerk to rerun the diagnostic again after I cut my truck off. The reading on the ODB II MACHINE WAS a secondary leak and a BANK I SENSOR. ALL SECONDARY. The tech clerk said just might be a tiny leak at the O2 BANK I SENSORS.
Another thing that happens with the older Mopar LA based motors is the distributor, it’s not a distributor in the sense of the old school type, has internal parts that are plastic and they do eventually break. The ring gear also craps out and the drive gear is known to get eaten. A lot of folks swap out all of the sensors and still have problems, and that can be related to wear on that engine part. The coils are also notorious for failing. I have an ‘03 Dakota btw, easy to work on, but things do eventually wear out
On the old ones, or hard ones, i change them right after driving. And i cut the harness clip off and slide a 2 point on it. Only works on the easy to get to ones lol.
I hated my denso on my 5.9 after havin bosch... so was goin to get mopar but found out ntk makes the oem mopar ones so ordered a set of those ... way way cheaper but better.... snarf......
hey man thx i replace my sensors right now i almost replaced all i replace the camshaft position sensor and the crank position sensor now the throttle position sensor next the MAP sensor
Aftermarket exhaust (headers, high flow cats)on my r/t seems to burn them out quicker than regular set up did, however again so cheap, that's the price I pay for more horsepower 😏😁
NTK or ngk are the best on the magnums , I don’t remember the last time I changed mine, never had an issue and on the rear one I have an O2 simm from Dan the Fastman
I'm Catless on my 98 Dakota 5.2L. Using a sparkplug extender on 2nd sensor. I'm guessing it's the same concept. I got the idea from a import tuners website 10 years ago🤓👍🏾
BDOG JR yea I been Catless, Long Tube hookers , no cats , 3” all the way back , the first 2 are in the headers , 2nd one in the pipes last one with the simm , mines a 99 360
Bro I've had this truck since I was 22 I'm 32 now and I'm about to make it a twin turbo beast 2000 horsepower it's a '99 ram 1500 sport 4x4 with a 5.9L Magnum
@@H-Townracing I've had my Durango about 11 years. I'm debating whether to do a high compression 408 or a supercharged 5.9. Gonna go with a TorqStorm system if I do. But first I need an intake manifold!! Lol
