Appreciate the comments! You DO NOT have to take off the entire front bumper to replace the fan. Remove the grill, hood latch, mounting brackets on the side of the radiator, and I took the radiator hoses off and plugged them with cheap rags. Remove the fan and replace. Took about an hour. 👍

Guys I bought my dual fan radiator cooling fan from 1Aauto and was a perfect replacement however I didn't remove the front bumper/grill, just took the 6 bolts out 2 from the grill and 4 from the 2 brackets (left/right side) of the grill that is designed to attach the top part of the front grill to something solid and removed the hood latch handle only then pulled back the radiator to create separation then took the 2 upper bolts out of the plastic fan and disconnected the 2 wire assemblies, it is a trick to get out but I use small air powered ratchets and was done with new fans spinning in 30 min. 9 bolts total 2 sizes of extensions (shorter for drivers side) due to the battery. Works like a champ. Cheers.

I was thinking this the entire time they were taking that front bumper off. Lol

I think removing the hood latch assembly makes it slip out easier. Just mark it's location before removing the bolts. Also taking the coolant air bleed hose (smaller one on tank) loose at the tank, so you don't lose coolant, will allow the radiator to lean forward easier.

This video for changing the duel Fans was very clear easy to follow and it took me exactly 1 hour to complete the job. I cannot thank you enough you saved me $400 and I’m proud to say I did it myself.

Great video thanks for the tips. FYI no need to pull off the number. Follow instructions other commenters give about just removing drill and brackets. Took just under an hr.

Thanks so much for the video - AND THE PART!!! I got it today and will be doing the work come Saturday morning. I found the fan on your site for $200 less than factory!!! And $80 less than other aftermarket brands! I'm thrilled because my truck has been broken down for 4 months while I was raising the $ for the part. Aside from the manufacturer, yours was literally the only site that had thee part. All other sites gave "options" with multiple choice sizes, you had to know the dimensions. Your site has the "right fit" search tool to be sure it was the right one for my old girl. Thanks so much!!

Bought the part from 1AAuto as my way to say thank you for the video. I did remove the upper Radiator Hose at the radiator; because after 20 minutes I did not see a way to get the fan assembly out. In my opinion, draining a little coolant off the radiator and then adding it back is a lot easier than battling to get the fan assy out. Fan assembly looks practically identical to the original and it seems to be of the same or better quality. 1AAuto was not the cheapest; but, I think it was a great value. Thanks!!!

Don't have to remove the bumper, just take the two bolts at the top corners of the chrome grill section and then take the top radiator support brackets loose and lean everything forward. It helps to also take the coolant tank bleed hose (smaller one) loose from the tank to allow the radiator more movement and remove the hood latch assy. to give more room to get the fans out. That's the stud that he mentioned you had to work around. You can just bend the bracket that comes around the front of the latch to the rear then pull it back forward once you get the fans in place. Then just take the bolts that hold the fan assy. to the radiator out and lift the fan assembly. Be careful when pulling the fans out and putting them back in of the small coolant hose nipple (don't break it off) at the driver's side low on the radiator, where that hose that runs under the fans attaches. You have to maneuver the fan assy. to the rear a little to get it around that hose nipple. The hood latch bolts have those teeth on the captured washer that will mark the position it was in so just look for the marks and try to get it in the same place. Remember to put the upper panel on when you finish up.Takes about 30-45 min.

Nice video but there's no need to take off the whole bumper to do this job. I did this earlier today on my friend's 2012 Escape V6 in her driveway with basic hand tools and it wasn't a big deal, the whole job took me less than an hour. I just took off the upper grill, the plastic piece above the radiator, intake duct, hood latch assembly, and the radiator mounting brackets. I also took off the 2 coolant hoses on the top passengers side corner of the radiator because they were in the way of being able to lift the fan shroud up. After carefully pulling the radiator forwards, I was able to get the old shroud out and the new shroud in no problem. It was a little bit of a tight fit, but I don't see how removing the bumper would have made the job any easier.

Can you do this without removing the entire bumper my grill is already off but not bumper. I realize might add a little difficulty but is there a reason I would have to remove it?
@moavic5087

Yes you can! Just remove the two ten mm for the grill you will have enough room to pull the fan out.

Hi! I own a Ford Escape 2010. I notice that the compressor clutch is not engaging, the radiator fan either; Could that be the reason why my AC is only blowing hot air? How to fix it please!

You do NOT have to take off the whole front bumper cover, only remove the 4 screws holding the grill and support back pieces, remove 1 screw holding hood release an the radiator is accessible

James Colbert , hello James I just posted to this today actually and I saw your comment asking how long it took. It took me exactly 1 hour and that is with watching the video at the same time, pausing it and re-watching it. Just take your time and you literally only need four tools to complete this job as the awesome video explains this. Good luck
