I'm surprised you didn't remove the wheel mounting rotor to have better accessibility considering it's only held on by one nut.

i got in the rear brakes to change rotor and pads and i'm seeing these rear drum shoes. they are just for the parking brake, right? i'm down to 2mm on those but if they are just for the parking brake, i'm thinking i'll wait since i live in a flat town.

Why do the hand-brake pads have to be slightly rubbing on the drum? Surely that will cause noise, heat and wear? 🤔🤷‍♂️
