This Ram 1500 is a 2020 but the process will be the same on a 2019-2024
When you replace the rear brakes you need to retract the Electric parking brake EPB. Putting the Electric parking brake in service mode it important so that you do not damage brake components when performing a rear brake job.

Is there a way to reset the parking brake if the electric retraction wont work? Trying to change my brakes and rotors, and it wont go into service mode

There might be something wrong with the electronic parking, brake motors. Yes, there’s a couple ways you can do this. Look up some other DIY ways of retracting the electronic parking brake. I just prefer to do it the right way.

Replacing just pads. I don’t normally bleed the brakes.

When you depressed the caliper, is there a name for that tool, when you slower ratcheted the caliper in?

Hi Andy! Very help step by step video. My one rear brake caliper has a torn boot at the brake piston, bought a used caliper at a scrapper. Would replacing the entire caliper basically be taking all the plugs, bolts, and lines from the old and attaching them to the replacement?
