Finally got around to replacing the 6 bushings in the rear of the club car ds golf cart. Not only does the cart sit a tad higher in the rear but we dont have any clunking noise or shifting the rear end when riding the cart now.

Nicely done, Son! Thanks. My latest DS is ALL in need and I never did the rears, so, this helps me go at it prepared.

What’s the best way to get the bushing in is by using dawn dish soap and taking off the body and swap the bolt to the other side

Great idea on drilling access holes. I just used a Sawzall to cut through the bolt and sleeve. I then installed the new bolt from the outside in. Ther's enough clearance to install the bushing up from the bottom. Ther's also enough room to reach a nut on the inside using a box wrench.

I'd like to see a video on a lift kit for a CC precedent. Is there a particular brand you like?

@Fentertainment I just want to say thank you! this channel and how you present your videos, and even how you correct yourself are all top notch. I just completed this job based on your video, and I also saw the comments from your viewers on alternate ways to access Frame rail bushings. Removing the 2 bolts on the angle iron and pushing up the body worked like a charm. Thank You!

Ouch!!!! No hole saw my dude. Those 2 bolts on the bagwell remove them, and you'll have just enough room to replace those bushings. The body will flex by placing a piece of wood in between the hitch plate and body. Worst case scenario, you'll have to grind off the bagwell bolts, but the bagwell protector will cover it up. Also, those back leaf spring bolts on the frame that always seize up just cut them off and don't try getting them out if their stuck. I've done thousands of them so save yourself hours of aggravation at my expense. 😆

I guess what’s done is done. Maybe I need to change a few things on the title! 😂

@Fentertainment it's all good, brother. I've done the hole cut technique in the past on a personal cart, but I wouldn't dare on my customers' carts.

That was my thoughts. A cut-off wheel or Sawzall and vice grips. Then on reassembly turn the bolt around the other way, just like you would do on a truck with the spring bolts turned the wrong way

I am about to install the rear seat. I see that this cart does not have HD springs, that every one is reccomending. What say you?

A hybrid or heavy duty spring would help if the rear seat makes it extra squatty

I need your HELP. GOT a 91 club car a couple of w ago. It is gasoline. Today I was driving it the accelerate stuck, brakes were not much help, turn key off, it still running, was able to slow it down enough to put a brick in front of rear Tyre, lift up the seat, pulled the spark plug to kill it. Excitement for a 74 year old man. HOW DO I FIX IT?

A friend of mine's cart did that kept running when stopped pulled plug lead off and still kept idling. Turned out solenoid was stuck and kept it ticking over until the battery went flat.

Man those rear upper shackle bushings are a booger to replace, had to throw in the towel last night on the passenger side. I've been debating that hole saw method, looks like I might bite the bullet today. Thanks for your video.

I see you used rolled steel sleeves. Why not bronze sleeves?

Ironic that I'm watching your golf cart videos now. We used to do Tumbler stuff together back in the day. Now I'm working on my golf cart, and you're the man for that...of course.
