How to Replace Rear Wiper - Toyota Yaris

You'd think it'd be easy, but you'd be weirdly wrong. You must first solve a small puzzle before you get to replace the rear wiper (12A/12") on your Toyota Yaris. I'd also say save yourself the embarrassment in the parking lot, but if you're watching this video, it's probably already too late.

Cheers mate. Particularly appreciated the "you might feel a bit of resistence" tip - I was scared I would break it! I replaced both today and I was bored shitless while flipping through multiple videos of chaff while trying to find the instructions for the front wiper. I just got home with my new wiper blade, and I even have the proper gloves, but now I have to go back out to get the proper suit. Dang! I’ll ponder my signature plastic Doohickey removal technique on the drive to the store.

Do you know what type of arm your rear wiper has. I have bought two now from separate sites after entering my reg and none of them fit. They screw is too long on my yaris but looks identical to yours

Haha, that look of you, boot man! You look more like you were trying to steal the damn car LMAO. Nice tutorial btw. Also, do yoy people in the US have these cars?? I thought Toyota wouldn't dare try to sell those in the US. Those we can buy in Europe are made in France, so not so reliable as the other, Japan made Toyota models.

Yeah, we do have Yaris-es around here. Not nearly as popular as our elephant sized SUVs, but they're around. So you get French made Japanese cars? Well we get Mexican and Chinese made American cars lol

@@Bootstrappin Mexican and Chinese made American cars are shyte, or so I heard. French made Yarids-es are not so bad, they do have transmission chain problems though. And I would not want to get into an accident in a Yaris, seems not strong on life-preserving.... However, other than Land-Cruisers, here we do not get any Toyota that's been manufactures in Japan. And Land Cruisers are crazy expensive here :( Also, they are considered gas hogs here (©Scotty Kilmer), and gas here is insanely expensive (about 1.5 euros / liter, that is, about $6.64/gallon). So yeah ...

@@SerbanCMusca-ut8ny yeah they definitely come with a good share of quality problems, but they have the gall to sell them at regular price. Land Cruisers here are also astronomically expensive, I think they've become some kind of status symbol for the rich for some reason.

I have put the wiper back the wrong way and now it doesn't sit flat on the window and doesn't snap out when 90 degrees. Trying to find a simple way of removing without breaking anything
