This is a quick video showing how easy it is to replace the rubber connectors that hold masters of the universe action figures legs on.
Anyone who collects these figures will know that often they break or the legs become loose or they will no longer stand. These replacement leg rubber connectors will soon be available on our facebook group:

You could argue that if they were durable we wouldn't be replacing the rubber in the legs, also the armour fastenings are notorious for breaking easily even back in the 80's.

I was able to do this process without letting anything set in hot water. The bits came out with forceps, which was the not-as-easy part, but the rubber replacement pieces went right in without needing any softened plastic.

Thank you! I was having trouble getting the new rubber barbell in there but the key is the hot water. Went right in there with the needle nose pliers.

Legs seem kinda loose at the end. Maybe if the connectors were a tiny bit smaller and heated up prior to installing they'd be even better. Just a thought, these are obviously much better than having broken legs!

I think it's more of a strap design issue. Could be a touch shorter than production, since everyone will be stretching them to death during install?

You're absolutely right...I just orderd the LEA 2.0 from Argentina and they're a bit smaller at the head and shorter....it does affect the standing ability cause there is to much space left over...I just broke 4 bands...they break kinda easy...so one has to be careful pulling them through the small crotch gap...and also pulling them to shove inside the other leg...I pretty much did the same thing in this video..but only my 1981 he man came out perfectly tight on both legs...the others I did have one looser leg...the first leg is easy since it goes in smoothly...the final leg usually ends up wonky but not to wear it can't stand...still better than nothing just like you stated...

I find it alot easier if the new leg band is placed in the hot water as well.

i just did two with soap and force. i used the force. which is a sharp flat head screw driver and butchers the connector. going to attempt this.

I just finished doing this, threading the rubber connector through the hole was the most difficult part as very easy to chew up the rubber doing it (I didnt have any string - so just used the dotting tool and a small flat head screwdriver ). At £1.50 each for the connectors i didnt want to break the connector or the figure.

I honestly expected this video would conclude with the angry hands of repair ripping the legs back off Hordak, then emerging moments later with hammer in hand laying waste to the figure's torso and the pitcher of scalding water

What tools do you need? Forceps? What is that pen tool with the ball end? What string do you use?

yes i find that forceps with the bent end are helpful the pen looking thing is a "dotting tool" its used for painting very small dots each end has a point with a little ball on one end is a bit sharper than the other the very blunt end is usefull for pushing at the rubber without piercing it and the sharper end is useful for getting the old rubber out but you can do this with anything really a cork screw also works well. there are a lot of different dotting tools on ebay but heres a link so you can see what it is: rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fitm%2F5X-Double-end-Drill-Point-Dotting-Pens-Nail-Art-Spot-Dotter-Manicure-Tools-RS%2F192151077651%3Fepid%3D3008405011%26hash%3Ditem2cbd18c313%3Ark%3A5%3Apf%3A0&campid=5338087299&toolid=20008

We are currently very very low on stock only 3 sets of 5 left so i have had to put the price way up just because i dont want the ebay listing to go down, if you wait a week we will have a delivery and the price will go back to normal.

You get them on eBay, be prepared to be ripped off as if in the UK there is only one seller of the item so you pay £15 for 10 and they break easily.

MOTU right now is an embarrassment of riches, there’s almost too much new stuff to collect. I’m thinking collecting vintage MOTU is the way for me, especially if I can figures in need of some care for cheap.
