Anyone who wants to replace it the right way, you take the whole display assembly off, and then you can slide the cover off instead of ripping it off and breaking it(like I did).
Hello sir. Thanks a lot for the effort. Just wanted to know one thing. Is the screen a matte one with a diffuser layer laminated over it or does it have a Anti glare coating which wears off easily?
hello dose this model has the hinge problem i mean the hinge brake by its own i saw that the ideapad5 15inch only has this problem do you have that problem on the 14inch ? do i have to worry????????? be cous i got the same model ideapad5 14inch plz reply . thx
What this guy ISN'T showing you is the crazy double-sided adhesive that's holding the screen to the cover plate. You will need a very sharp knife to cut through it, or just brute force the damn screen off. Believe me when I say that it won't just "fall off" the cover plate like it does in this video.
hello i got this device 3days ago averything is amazing but i heard that the ideapad 5 had a hinge problem and when i searched the internet the ideapad 5 15" has some plastik holes for the hinge screws thats why it breakes so easly but the 14 inch like mine there is no data i can find to rely on , is the screw holes in the 14 inch plastik or metal ?, iam so woried about this problm plz reply !
I have the Ideapad 5 15" model and I had a serious issue with the hinge. It was basically glued onto the screen frame. Poor design but the laptop runs great.
omg, this show how to NOT change a screen, 1) machine must be powered off and battery disconnected for the health of the panel and lvds circuitry 2) the cover of the hinges slide off at left then it can be removed, using a tool implies crackings in the plastic hooks 3) this panel has been already pulled off, the original is glued to the cover so the whole video is fake 4) how the hell he thinks the screen stay in place if he does not glue it to the cover? 5) also the bezel on this model is glued with biadesive
