I have a 09 Spyder SE5, and this was totally spot on. Explaining what tools you’ll need ahead helped a lot too. Got the new battery in within an hour. And this was a first for me. Excellent instructional video.
Matt, very good video! I have replaced my 2008 GS Spyder twice so far, they last an average of 5 years each thanks again for a very good video ! You do realize some Spyders have their battery in the TRUNK, well, a compartment accessible only through the TRUNK for example my 2014 STS and I think most RTs .
I have a 2010 Spyder RS. What kind of battery do I need? I am having a VSS Fault show up and my bike has died while I am in the middle of driving. Some commentators have suggested that it is a bad battery. What kind does it take? Also, thank you for this video!

I was riding my Spyder and the cluster showed low battery and then all of a sudden the battery died. How do I check for charging issues? Reason I ask is they installed a new battery early this year.

I had the same question you think they would put text on the video describing the years this applies to. Must be the 998. Always lead with "Make, Model, Year" and Miles at time of service.
my 2013 spyder keeps locking in the FIRST GEAR #1 and i can not start the engine and i can not set it into "N" so i can start it.
