Hi mate like your how to vids, I found previously when I needed to disconnect the battery on my 59 plate T5 that the alarm went off and was impossible to switch off or carry on with the job just too noisy !!!! I will try to get hold of a temp power source as you did but any reason you know of why the alarm would go off in this way? Also my current reason to disconnect the battery is to try and find reason for an apparent battery drain when van is not being used. I realise alarm itself is using power when van is parked up etc but problem only seems to have started happening over last 6 months or so. I bought a replacement battery (although ended up getting a garage to fit it) just wondered if you fancied doing a vid on steps to track down source of such a problem? Anyway thanks for your expert guidance

Hi Lurgs , thanks to your video , I’m having a go at changing my battery on my T28. When replacing positive feed my alarm goes off . Old battery was totally dead and has been sat on drive for few months 😢. Any suggestions?

Hello Lurgs, enjoying your videos. Please can you explain how the 12V cigarette jump starter works to keep your settings if you haven't got a spare battery. I guess one end fits into the cigarette lighter in the dash but where does the other end go? Steve

As in the manual of the VW bus nowhere mentioned , the batt spec's 12V 75Ah ! typical VW , they want you to buy their expensive parts.
