@@mehere3013 well people cannot be that stupid... and im not sure but even if they fill it with oil, the car will run rough af but i think it will burn all the oil and come back to its normal after? with a bit of luck without damaging anything? well i dont want to ever test this but would be cool to know... anyone ever tried to run oil in a diesel and check the damage? (i know it works because of the diesel's runaway)
If you can't already tell from the accents in the video, these videos are made by non English speakers in Europe, where diesel is known as "diesel oil"
When removing the first hose. After after lifting the central part of the lid, you need to push DOWN the edge of the white lead (1:52), not push up. I Almost broke everything trying to push up.
No that's incorrect. It should seat properly and shouldn't float up at all. Check the fitment again because if there's no seal it won't work properly and could let particles through into the engine.
Yes, you can insert the new filter and fill the housing with fresh diesel. Once reassembled the car will crank over for a few seconds and then start. I've just done this job today and done exactly that and it works fine.
@@fostenet Just like a normal start, literally almost instant on the button with no problems. If you wish you can also turn on the electrics by pressing the start button once (no clutch) and the fuel pump will prime the fuel filter to the very top. You can hear this if you're under the bonnet. Allow maybe 10-15 secs for this, then switch off with the starter button and start the car with clutch depressed. Either way works, but I just topped up the fuel filter housing to the brim with fresh diesel and it worked fine, no issues to restart.
