So is there no way to tension the belt? Cuz my 'self propelled' mower really isnt self propelled anymore. The self drive function is anemic to say the least.
The transmission pulley on my 2017 SC 500z does not resemble the one in the video. It has a metal bracket which completely blocks removal of the drive belt. But I finally realized that the bracket can be loosened by removing 2 screws that attach it to the pulley assembly. Need a 1/4" socket on some sort of extender to get to them, though I did so and was able to proceed with belt replacement. The self-propulsion is now more aggressive than ever, possibly because of its new belt but I also replaced the somewhat tread-worn drive wheels (not hard). Otherwise this video is right on the money.
Trying to figure out whats causing the bolt to break off 1.5" up inside. 2nd bolt broke, now mechanic working on 3rd bolt and it is also showing stress after use.
