Welcome to another maintenance video in the Toyota Landcruiser 200 Series maintenance playlist. In this video Jafffa Adventures replaces the old worn out Toyota factory KDSS front sway bar bushes.

I think you may have your wires crossed regarding part numbers mate. (Or maybe I do - has certainly happened before). I use the same resources as you and as far as I can tell the part numbers are as follows: Sway bar end links (fully assembled): RH: 48820-60081 (KDSS) LH: 48810-60060 (KDSS) Did you only want to replace the rubber itself for some reason?

Good stuff mate, for some reason at the time I could not find the part number for the fully assembled unit. I have since replaced both end links with the fully assembled unit. I have pinned your comment to the top so that others can see the part numbers easily. Cheers!

I don't have KDSS on my Toyota but still watched. Mechanical videos are like watching a fire for me, I just can't stop watching ha ha!

Another informative vid mate. Love it. I too am doing the Simpson in a few weeks. Doing the Madigan line. Will be out there between the 10th to 14th. Finishing up with big Red and Birdsville. Might see you out there. Stay safe.

Thanks for another informative video Terry! I finally crossed over to the dark side and purchased a 200 Series (I'm kinda kicking myself I didn't do it earlier), so these vids will come in very handy. I don't suppose I can commission you to build me a 70 series style bonnet.... :P

Should do those bump stops in the front too. Ive got some new lower control arm caster tabs here as yours are VERY bent up. Drop in for a beer some time mate

Hi @jafffa adventures, i believe we have the same suspension (OME), once installed was amazing in comparison to standard however now the car handles more like a boat, do any of the bush replacements you have done change this? Do you have a standard rebound and compression setting for your struts also? I have recently purchased a rear panhard in the hope may tame the looseness/bouncy feel it has. (2012 sahara) Great video, mate. Appreciate any advice 🙏

The sway bar bushes definitely tightened the car up, so that’s a possibility. Are your BP51’s simply getting old and in need of replacement? Mine had about 140,000km on them and they were stuffed. I replaced the lot and that made a massive difference. I can’t recall my rebound and compression exactly, sorry. It’s around 4 and 3 or 3 and 4. I also have air bags in the rear springs which helps the wallow. Go well mate👍😎

250 dollars for bushes ? All my bushes are free. In fact, I could have given you some of mine. I have thousands of new bushes.

What is your recommendation for reducing squeaks in rear suspension area! Can you direct me to a kit to change the bushings in the back?

How did this affect the ride quality? Mine are as bad as yours but she drives fine and idk if I want to change them yet.

Good question, I probably should have covered that in the video. I was marginally tighter in the ride, especially the roll around corners. Not a massive difference, but noticeable. Thanks for watching mate😎👍
