This is a guide on how to take apart the hammer assembly on the Action Army AAP-01. You can use this guide to help you replace any part in the unit but today we are replacing the hammer for a steel hammer.
Brilliant close up detailed tutorial cheers. Just bought the AA P-01 and slowly fitting all the upgrades, short stroke, selector switch extended barrel new bucking ang hop etc. Been watching a video of the gun tested HARD with full auto and the stock hammer gives up prettry quick so changing the hammer group out!

How nice do you do this you have like eight arms or someone else hoping you because I can't get it into the hammer system and I've been doing it for hours now and I'm doing my head
hi James, wondering if you could offer some advice. fitten a Cowcow hammer set but noticed the valve knocker doesn't always cycle correctly, vents the mag or doesn't cycle the gun!
Huge thanks to you man! I spent an hour trying to figure out why mine kept full autoing on semi, turns out the spring was meant to be the other way around, otherwise, at least on my AAP , the spring didn't put enough tension on the sear to engage it properly every time.
Hi James having issues with my semi locked AAP01, the trigger doesn't reset after every trigger pull and fires full auto. However my auto sear doesn't have any play like in your videos and the trigger only resets when the bolt is racked or the trigger bar is pushed down manually. Do you have any advice. Cheers
Hi James, Hope you're well, So bit of an update on this one so I have changed out all of the hammer assembly to Stainless steel cowcow parts including 200% spring for the auto sear and hammer however I've noticed that my trigger doesn't reset like yours on semi and the bolt (cowcow super light bolt,) locks up after 5 shots or a burst of full auto (I have also tried the bolt with the cowcow 150% & CTM 200% recoil spring, while testing with and without short strokes however that only makes the jamming worse. I also have a cowcow trigger unit and bar and had seen on your other aap01 videos saying that you didn't rate them do you think this could be causing the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
