I hope this helps! I had to replace the motor and regulator for my passenger side window of my 1999 Buick Century. It was a little tricky, but I got it to work. I’m not the best at car repair, but letme know how it went for you!
Thanks - your video was a great help. BTW: it is important that the window is properly seated in both of the tracks before testing the operation, otherwise it will jam and not be able to travel to the top.
Absolutely a great job. You did the hardest part, which is to pull the door panel. That is the hard part because one is flying blind. After one breaks all the damn clips, everything becomes so obvious. but then it is too late. It brings me to mind a window that had to be replaced and the door panel fiasco on a 1991 MB. I took it to a " window place". that should know what they were doing. From the beginning I sensed that they were clueless on how to take the panel off. On that 1991 MB, if I recall correctly the bottom of the door clips get pulled straight out, but just enough to clear the pins, the panel then gets "pushed" straight up and the panel is removed. Needless to say that the one that were supposed to slide were broken and in addition they just tore the vapor barrier. If I recall it right at the end of the day they paid me over $400.00 in parts because the " expert" didn't know what he was doing. That's why I now look at how someone takes the panel off and I don't have to go at it blindly. The mechanical part is fairly easy but the clips is what scares the hell out of me. I some how manage to break them and it is very frustrating to go looking for the clips because I can't find the replacement parts and that is if the actual point where the clips attach don't get destroyed. Then it is either go buy a new panel or have the thing flapping around. Thanks for showing how to get the panel off. The rest is a breeze. One does get all that black gunk all over but it comes off. It is not complicated but it is frustrating when one can't figure out how the panel comes off. I only watched the part how the panel comes off. 2:29 seconds
My motor works but window started making a grinding noise and is now wedged or stuck, im assuming something on the track broke or became disconnected. Havnt opened it up yet but hopefully I can fix it 😆
Yah I turned it off then I messed up and didn’t record it working but it works I promise lol. I did the video months before I edited and uploaded it. 😭
