Dash Oil Pressure was Flashing so i assume it was the Oil pressure Sensor. I look up this vid to see how to replace it. I paid $30 round trip on Uber to Kenworth (1.5 miles away), $120 for the Sensor, $80 to the Shop to replace it. It Took about 15 mins. Beats the $700 roadside assistance scammers.
Check engine light came on, the oil pressure hit 100 and wouldn't come down. I pulled over turned it on and off and checked the engine to see if there was oil anywhere and sure enough.
The newer sensor (part# 4921517 2017 Cummins X15) is more robust, whatever that means. My oil pressure was up to 60 PSI when I sat idle. I turned the truck off being freaked out, checked the oil after 15 minutes of being off, oil level was still good. Turned the engine back on, the oil light started blinking, I turned the engine back off, turned it back on, and the pressure has been around 40 PSI ever since. Usually it's around 30-35. I checked this sensor and it is leaking some. Not bad, but some. I'll be changing mine very soon.
