Last time I did the seal, while I was at the auto parts store, I rented (for free, tool loan program) a seal driver kit and verified it had a driver that fit the new seal/boot. Free tool loan programs are great! Nice tutorial... thanks!
i am going to do this soon, i recently developed a leak right on the output side of the driveshaft. incredibly helpful video. thank you! just subscribed.
Hey Andy. Got a video of replacing the bushing also? Just discovered my bushing is shot. Hoping to replace it myself. But need insite on how. I'm friend with Alex (Alf's Mustang Garage). He speaks highly of your instructional videos. So I thought I would see if you had anything.
Ha, Alex would have been the guy I'd lean on to ask about replacing that bushing if needed. I recently had the tail-shaft housing off my T5 and the bushing was fine, otherwise I would have replaced it and probably did a video about it. :)
Hey, nice video. Can you post a cpl pictures of the rods from the clutch pedal in the engine bay, and the clutch fork also, please? Im installing a t10 into a 69 fastback & there isn’t a lot of info out there. I’d really appreciate it.
Did the new seal stop the leak? My t5 is leaking and from what I have read, the bushing on the inside needs to be replaced also. By the way, I just heard you as a guest on the Ford Mustang The First Generation, The Early Years podcast and realized I was already watching your videos.
Yes, replacing that seal should stop the leak. The bushing inside is not likely to play a role on your leaking problem, unless it was completely missing, then it's a separate issue. Awesome, I enjoyed doing that podcast, but it sure is weird to here my voice. :)
