Like many other load bearing parts on your vehicle, the transmission mount contains rubber bushings for smooth, comfortable driving. And like other parts, the rubber bushings can wear and rot over time. It’s a good idea to replace them when that happens. This video shows you how to install a new made to fit TRQ transmission mount on your 2009-17 Chevy Traverse.

I bought all 4 mounts from 1AAuto, and with the help of these videos replaced all 4 in less than 3 hours. I am not a mechanic and have never done this type of job before. I did it in my drive with jack stands and hydraulic floor jacks. I will say that I started with the passenger side mount, and once I had the engine raised and the cross member/cradle lowered for this mount, I was able to remove the front mount without having to remove the bracket, and was able to move right over to the transmission mount before dropping the engine.

An 18mm combination wrench is needed to remove the bottom nut of the transmission mount. Removal of it was not was not included in the video. The top nut can be removed with an 18mm socket and socket wrench. 2014 GMC Acadia.

Unscrewing the mount is key for the final step to get the mount off the vehicle. You also need to "pull down" on the mount while unscrewing it. The stabilizer link, brake line and front suspension components do block some access to the mount but I completed the job yesterday with just jack stands and 2 floor jacks.

👍👍 Thank you for this diagnosis I feel a cluck when I step on the brake and time I'm above 20 miles an hour. Assuming this might be the problem I am also in the process of changing thee entire front suspension due to corrosion from water and salt during winter. Also I have all CV axels and hub assembly ready and will have the RiPP coils and lazer iridium sparkplugs installed.

I just replaced the trans mount in my 2011 Buick Enclave (October 2023). The "cradle" on my Buick did not want to lower enough. I had to use a pry bar to lower it an additional 1/4 inch or so. Turning the mount while pulling on it was key to removing the old mount. Putting the new mount in was easier but still frustrating. Turning the new mount while pushing was key to getting it into place.

I'm in a Chevy Traverse Facebook page I went on RU-vid before and there's no video of how to flush the automatic transmission fluid for a Chevy Traverse lot of people on the Facebook page always ask do anybody know how to change a transmission fluid can y'all make a video about that please

There's a small drain plug on the bottom of the transmission. Drain and fill. There is a dipstick on top of the transmission where you refill.

Don't bother with trying to remove transmission bracket, it did nothing for me on a buick enclave

nice video, good camera angles. However it's a whole lot harder of a job when you don't have a lift and floor screw jacks to hold everything up. Also, i see several front and side mount replacements, but is there a rear motor mount on the back of the engine as well?

There are 4 mounts total: the torque strut mount (beneath fuse block), passenger side motor mount, front motor mount, and transmission mount (driver side). TRQ has videos for all 4.

There is a front motor mount, rear motor mount (passenger side), transmission mount (driver side), and strut mount (upper). Best to do all 4. It’s helpful to remove the old strut mount first and install the new strut mount last.
