How to Replace Valve Cover Gasket on any Alfa Romeo Twin Spark Engine, Replacement, 1.6, 1.8, 2.0

I commented about powerloss and misfires turns out too much oil is getting to the spark plugs from the leaking of this seal and it is insane how much people charge for such a simple repair, thank you very much for showing us how to do this

Hey mate, greetings from Greece, thanks for the videos, already started fixing small issues with my 2007 A147 and falling in love again with the car…small question, do you recommend a specific gasket brand? Heard many people having problems with afrermarket ones. Do I need to locate an original one and if so, which brand might that be? In the last couple of years I had the gasket changed twice and still there is leakage, thought I’d give it a go myself this time…

Hey ARC Garage i like your videos and have a question. My 147 1.6 TS had broken exhaust shield and i had to get rid of it cause it was making so much noise. Im now running without it and worried that it heats the radiator fan too much without it. What do you think?

What torque setting do you tighten the screws on the valve cover to?

Have u ever done distribution belt (timing belt replacement on alfa Romeo gt) it would be amazing to have instructions how to do this job with least special tools as possible

hi buddy i have an alfa 147 mk1. i replaced valve cover gasket twice and changed oil with 10w60. But engine keeps leaking oil. the oil accumulates on the manifold heat shield that is shaped aluminum sheet. What is your opinion about the problem? thank you from istanbul.

Thanks for the video mate! Unfortunately it’s leaking a little more oil than before.. maybe i should use silicone sealant in addition? Maybe just a thin layer.. should i use it through the whole gasketline or only a few spots?
