This is the official video I used to help with my problem. There are a lot of videos out on the Express Van, but this one shows everything and there is no confusion of where to locate the mechanism you are working on. I'm just getting ready to do this job. My water pump is fine and I'm debating weather to replace it while I'm in there or do it later. Very good video. Slow and steady wins the race.

My water pump was fined as well but I decided to go ahead and replace it while I was in there

Yes, and it still got covered with powersteering, antifreeze, and grease. It got all red and looked funky for a couple of days, then it got better. I was getting worried about it for awhile

This band -aid was functional, I had just had a skin Cancer removed by burning and scrapping 4 days before.

Was it difficult removing the fan clutch ? What tool did you use ?

I will have to look back and see if I have any video of it but I do not remember it being hard to remove. I think I used an open end and a box end but will check and let you know. Thank you for your question and for watching the videos

Yes A 10mm box end 10mmOpen end a screw driver to jam the fan in place.

@@Crowbirdvideos thanks for the info, One more question… I’ve been watching a couple of these videos on RU-vid about this install and in some videos they recommended daping the water pump bolts with some permatex. Curious if you did this on your van ?

I did not but it may be a good idea to use that or some anti seize on the treads. I have never had trouble with Chevy or GM water pump bolts. I would retighten them after it runs at normal temp for awhile. I have had a lot of leak trouble with my 95 Jeep 5.2 V8 Grand Cherokee the old Chrysler 318. I have to retighten them every now and then

@@Crowbirdvideos thanks. Did the install today. Went smooth. I should have bought a replacement lower radiator hose though, mine has a small leak.
