In the previous video I highlighted troubleshooting a blown up one way bearing. Here is how I dealt with it.
I like to ride in the Winter. (It is almost 8 months out of the year up here it seems. ) I'm learning that running 10w-40 oil is just too heavy for this big bore to crank hard in the cold and still fire a good spark without burning out sprags so...
The button head bolts on the Yamaha Big Bear have had their protruding threads crushed at the factory to prevent separating the one way starter clutch sprag bearing from the flywheel. I don't want to buy both when I only need the bearing.
Here's how I separated the two. Then I'll be running 5w-40 oil to reduce the cold cranking resistance.
