How to replace your Driver Side LH front door latch on a 2010-2013 Mazda3/Mazdaspeed3

I need this to replace my door latch cable. looks doable. Do I have to remove the lock or can I reach in and replace it?

the cable to my door latch snapped and I am attempting to repair it versus replacing it, it snapped right where the cable meets the end part that goes into the hole

Could you tell us why you had to replace it in the first place, just out of curiosity? My door ajar light keeps flickering on and off while driving and I'm wondering if this replacement would fix the issue...

I had one of the screws for the actuator stripped. How did you fix it and where did you get the new screw?

Remove the 3 JIS Phillips screws with a flathead screwdriver (1:17)? Yeah, right! Why didn't you show it then?
