It would have been extremely helpful if you had emphasized that the tabs for releasing the front grill are the ones at the very bottom and not the ones on the next row up. It took me 40 minutes just to get the grill off. I should have paid closer attention, watched your video 3 times or came in and watched it again when things went astray.

I applaud your confidence in replacing the grille before actually testing the horns to make sure they work. If I did it that way, I'd be sure to have to take the grille off again, for one reason or another.

on my 2016 I found a better lower location. There is a metal brace behind/below the bumper. This way horns don't block airflow into the radiator.

Tim, Thank you for the details to get this job done! Since your video was released, Agile Off Road has put a module connector at the end of their wiring harness. It was plug and play (honk)… very easy. Your video gave me the confidence to install their Sprinter Horn Kit (AOR149). Great job and thanks again

On the 2008 Forest River Solera class C motorhome , with a Freightliner Sprinter 3500 chassis The horn is not located behind the grille, if you crawl under the front driver side, shine a light up towards the head light , you'll see the horn is located inside the upper part of the lower bumper assembly. I was able to reach up to it and unplug it. From above in the engine compartment I pulled the wires up, mounted the replacement horn inside the engine compartment where it is easily accessed. 2 wires 1 green 1 red , I cut the plug end off and added 2 female spade ends to connect the new horn, took about 30 minutes.

@@TimAndShannonLTD arrived and installed. My 2012 has a slightly different grill. All tore 25 screws and the bracket had to modified to fit as the radiator shroud is slightly different. Works great. No more roadrunner beep beep! 😆

Wonderful video. I have a 2011 and the front attachment is a bit more difficult as the mounting points for the hardware was different than the video and instructions. That said, you really built my confidence in doing this project!! Wonderful upgrade!

Hey Guy, can you tell me how it went. I also have a 2011 2500 van and based on this vid i ordered the horn from Agile off-road. Nothing easy about the install because the radiator shroud is TOTALLY different than what is shown on the vid and on their install guide. Did you have luck? what did you have to do to make it work?

@@johnnymac62ish I moved the horn toward the passenger side and used one of the larger (rectangle) openings in the radiator shroud for one attachment point and then used one of the triangle openings for the other attachment. I did have to use my drill to make this opening larger (not very pretty) but it worked. You are correct its a lot harder than the video but the horn is awesome so I am happy now. the other tip is to install the bracket first and then the horns onto the bracket. Trust me I am not handy so you can do it!

I know what you are talking about and will give it a go. did you mount the bracket the same orientation as Tim did in the vid and is shown on the instructions or did you turn it around so as to move the plate out front and away from that nob on the 2011 radiator shroud? Thanks. You are inspiring me to not send the horn back and try again. Paying $20 for shipping from Agile and then having to pay to return it is also inspiring me to try again!

@@TimAndShannonLTD Tim and Shannon, please see my comments and Guy's below. not nearly so easy with a 2011. totally different radiator shroud does not allow lining up with the rectangular openings plus a tab underneath does not allow the bracket to be mounted flush.

i bought a 2 horn system from harbor freight ans for some reason they have a relay in it and now i’ve watched 2 videos and neither have the relay… i think i’m going it bag rhe relay and just wire it

This video is for the Agile horn kit for 2007-2018 Sprinters only. Right?

I'm not sure how much different the 2019+ version is if at all, but I assume it's very similar just by looking at the photos on Agile's website. Maybe the harness connects below instead of toward the passenger side? Hard to say from those photos. But yes, our van is a 2018.
