2 hours ago I was in the rooftop, I wanted to record a video, so I placed my phone on top of a medium height wall, I used a flowerpot to maintain the phone vertical position, then I pressed "record", and I went away. Aprox. at 30 seconds mark I heard a loud "bang".... that was my fucking phone falling, with the help of a wind gust that can be heard in the video. Result: screen totally smashed, cracked all over, maybe 95% of the screen surface, but surprisingly the touch screen still works. This incident led me to this video, so I will place the order and hopefully, following your instructions, it wont be hard to replace the broken screen. Thanks.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. PS: if someone tries to pull out band under the battery, be careful. It's possible to damage battery and it's cover. If battery cover get's damage, you will sense it's smell. (how do I know I've just damaged yeaaa)
Managed to fix my dads phone thankyou. Word of caution guys, don't do what i did and just order the screen, order the screen with the plate fitted to it.
Thanks for the video, just successfully replaced my screen thanks to your video! It was unfortunately water damaged in the rain, along with the chip the usb port is on. Just for anyone's reference, cleaning off all the damaged circuit boards in 99% isopropyl alcohol worked really well, restored the ability to charge the battery (which luckily wasn't damaged) and the replacement screen works like a dream!
Pessoal, quem tiver muita duvida sobre o processo, nem começa a fazer. o tutorial ta muito bem explicado e facil de fazer, porem para tirar a bateria é realmente difícil. Com esse tutorial consegui trocar minha tela, porem no meio do caminho o touch só pegava metade para cima, a outra metade nao pegava. quando eu tinha desistido e montei tudo para levar na loja, fui e testei dnv, o touch tava pegando perfeitamente, não sei oque aconteceu, mal contato talvez... Então quer for fazer tenha certeza e teste seu touch antes de desmanchar o outro.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! My first screen replacement and it worked :D One thing is I have some light bleed or something their is a screw sized discoloration that comes through the screen. Is it possible that missing a few screws could cause this discoloration because it looks like its exactly where I missed a screw.

Any tips for positioning the back cover at the end of this tutorial? This tutorial has been pretty helpful so I replaced more than one screen, but once new screen cracked pressing it against the back cover while finishing work...

Ive done everything as in video but now it doesn't turn on via power button. Screen works fine, phone charges. Power button has no effect. All cables were dismounted with extreme caution. What could have gone wrong?

Hi, I have a Xiaomi redmi 4x that it fell to the water and i tried to turn off but it couldn't because the phone was restarting several times, after some minutes it turned off and I left it turned off for two days. Well, now it turn on but when I use it after a few minutes the display is put blurred colors or blue and after that it reboot, what could it be this? You think it has a solution?. And also first i thought the battery was damage becase the notification ligth was red and actually the phone only charge when is turned off, but works fine. Thanks and sorry for bad english.
All these videos are of phones that already have the glue removed. I usually do my own repairs on computer and phone, but on the Redmi Note 4 I spent an hour and ended up taking it to the shop. Now way it opens in just a few minutes. Glue removed from prior opening, I believe.

I tried replacing the screen on my mobile but ended getting the battery explode. What is the part you remove at 9:19 ? Also what is the tape you remove at 8:57 ? Hello, the part at 9:19 is the circuit for the 3 buttons illumination below the screen, the part on 8:57 is a connection cable which is placed back on the replacement part at 14:10. Axel Bcn yo he quitado la parte que protege el pegamento. Enseguida te darás cuenta de q es así. Solo tuve problemas con la gomita del sensor de proximidad, pero teniendo cuidado al montarlo todo de nuevo lo pude solucionar.

Hi, this item doesn't need the double sided adhesive tape because the screen is already attached to the frame. You may only need a little double sided adhesive tape to attach back the battery. Hi, the buttons have the backlights but you can't see them because we have a bright light when make this kind of videos. The backlights of the buttons are not very bright because they are made to be visible at night.
Thanks for the answer, you're really kind. One more thing, I noticed that the fingerprint sensor was kinda glued and you used hot air to loose it a little and then you took it out. My question is: do we need to use some kind of glue to hook it back on?

This does not show the screen removal and attachment to the housing since his came with it attached. If only I could have got mine attached but they did not have the note4x plus in stock. BTW dont get the plus it needs its own screen that is impossible to find, like 1 store in the world had it.

I replaced the display as you made on the video and my display does not light up. the lower buttons light up, they respond to touch, there are vibrations and the flashlight turns on, nothing else. can I ask for help? what to do? HELP
