Hi, I have booked H1B in person appointments for September, I made a reschedule request and after submitting OFC date, I was unable to find a nearby interview date. So, I didn't hit submit on the consular booking date and logged out of the portal. In this case, Will my original appointment will be still valid?
Yes, if you did not confirm the new appointment date and simply logged out of the portal, your original H1B visa appointment should still be valid. However, it's always a good idea to log back into the appointment portal to verify that your original appointment date is still listed and to ensure there are no issues. If you encounter any discrepancies, contact the support services for the U.S. visa appointment system or the embassy directly to clarify your appointment status.
If I click on rescheduling it first shows OFC dates and then Consular dates. I just have 1 re-schedule left. What if I see a OFC date and click on submit but then I see no Consular dates. Will I lose the original appointment and I will lose my 1 re-schedule or it won't be rescheduled at all ?
If you click on rescheduling and select a new OFC date but do not find any available Consular dates, the rescheduling process will not be completed. You will not lose your original appointment or your reschedule attempt unless you confirm both new dates. So, you can safely exit the process if suitable Consular dates are not available, and your original appointment will remain intact.
Yes, you can reschedule your Consular appointment after completing your OFC appointment. However, it's important to do so as soon as possible to ensure you get a new appointment slot that fits your schedule. Make sure to log in to your visa application account and follow the instructions to reschedule your Consular appointment.
If you reschedule and book only the OFC (Offsite Facilitation Center) appointment without booking the Consular appointment, you may lose your original slot. Both appointments are required for the visa process, so ensure you reschedule both to avoid losing your place.
