I take you mean I Drive as Xdrive means AWD. Yours is an NBT system. . You will need to hold down the volume button for 25 seconds and that should reboot it. Does the screen show the normal Idrive screen ? If not may be the CID

Hi, have you tried resetting the IDrive as per the video to see of it makes a difference?

It has only the central knob and one menu button, not various buttons

It sounds like the actual CIC unit might be faulty . It was more common on the CCC. You could try pulling the fuse for the CIC then reinsert it back after an hour. Otherwise you may need to recode it. Please consider subscribing to my RU-vid Channel for free if you haven't already.

@@DocMackGarage No luck, it didn't change anything. Was stuck on the BMW logo, did the same thing as you did in the video and the logo went away and came back, but stayed stuck. Tried many times and couldn't get anything more than a stuck logo or a blank screen that would flash white once in a while. So frustrating.

@NoobGaming-pl3bp Try pulling the fuse to tye CCC, then plugging it back, otherwise it could be broken solders.

@@DocMackGarage I recently purchased the car it was like that when I bought it I replaced the battery and registered/coded it to the car

@motown862000 I suspect that language was stored in the module for the idrive. Leave it a few days and see how it goes. Also make sure to subscribe to my RU-vid Channel. I have more bmw videos to come too.

Hi, Can you please advsie the model and year of the car? Are you sure it is CCC and not CIC ?

I have this same issue, one cd slot for both dvd and cd, it’s single button ccc I drive on 2008 320i edition m sport touring. The menu button has stopped selecting on press, so it will only scroll 🤷‍♂️

Hello Peeps, can you try holding down. The one button plus volume and see what happens.

Is it a compatible part and did you code the car ? Vo might need to be done too

Is yours CCC or CIC ?

@@DocMackGarage its CCC i changed the guards responsible for the mechanism also and that didint help but today it fixed itself randomly while driving and started working and now after a cold start it doesnt work just like before

@@DocMackGarage and what might be the fix for the problem? Because my screen flickers the same way as in your video, is it the same fix or different?

@sim if it is software then same fix, but of it turns out to be hardware I.e the ccc board fault, it will require replacement and coding which could cost around 1500.

@D Jansen your DVD player will have to be next to the other button , if not yours might be a different process. .

You could just reball the ccc module pcb board. This fixes majority of problems. It's actually easier than most think.

I also have a 04 530i and the screen is stuck on bmw and randomly flickers and shuts off I tried pressing both ejects and the volume but nothing happens I recently bought a xtrons display and it works just no audio cuz car doesn’t have a factory aux so I looked it up and I need to enable aux with the stock display but it doesn’t work and really frustrating Not sure if I have a problem with my oem display but as of now maybe my plans of action are as follows 1: buy and install working oem display 2: enable aux activator 3:install xtrons display Would be nice to not have to buy another oem display just to rip it right out Lmk if any suggestions Would really appreciate it

What symptoms are you experiencing?

Could be your CID

No bmw logo , just a black screen ? Could be your CID
