This is a really good question, I will make a video regarding this tomorrow. P3 has more features within some of the workbenches. I prefer to use P2 since I mostly do generative product design and I got used to this layout.

Hello, do you have the planes hidden by default within the part? or even with them set to show they are still not visible? Sometimes, resetting the view settings can resolve display glitches. Go to "Tools" > "Reset View" and select the appropriate options.
