How to reset password on M1 MacBook Pro if you forgot it without data loss!

so i have a problem ive been doing this step by step and the password hint always chamged to the one i put when resetting the password but the password never gets accepted I did this 4 times already and the hint always works but not once the password was accepted i really dont know what to do about it anymore

My mac goes to the setting menu just like yours but the MacOS Recovery screen doesn’t let me get into the utilities. My menu options are just erase, about, startup Disk, reset & shutdown

I don’t get the utilities option once I enter recovery mode.. it only says recovery assistant on top left . Is there any workaround?

It’s not working for me when I held power button a few seconds and it shut down I let go then held power button down again going straight back to iOS login page help

When I hit options then continue, it goes to the macOS recovery screen but it doesn't give me those options, instead it says "select a user you know the password for" and tries to make me enter the password (which I don't know). It doesn't have a utilities menu at the top either. Any help is appreciated!

When I enter MacOS Recovery there is no option to select there only forgot all password and enter the password to continue but I forgot the password
