If you boot Linux mint in a flash USB, you can copy all your files to an external hd before resetting

This is a very useful video. Its very simple to do. I got my pc from the garbage lol and the old owner stuff was still on it so im glad this method remove the personal files from the hard drive. Also i wouldnt recommend the people who want to keep their data to do this because it will literally reset windows to factory settings. Thank you so much. This literally took 2 seconds to get started and its extremely simple to do.

We inherited a Dell inspiron win 10, could not get around the win passcode and bios was locked so we couldn't even use a recovery method via usb because the "keyboard enabled" was blocked and we couldnt use the f8 key. None of the files were important so this video worked MAGIC! completely reformatted the hard drive, set up a brand new fresh win 10 OS. I just kept my finger on the shift button during the entire restart and when the blue screen with factory reset options appeared, we were in business! Thank You!

Thank you! I don’t use this laptop that much (maybe once every 2-3 years) and I bought it off my brother who changed the password I remembered so I can never get in and he doesn’t know it. My one doesn’t come up with “preparing” after I do all of that, it comes up reset this pc, and after I click remove my files it says “additional free space is needed on the drive where windows is installed. Free up some space and try again” but I can’t free space because I can’t get in without remembering password, I also have a usb in but it’s not using that storage grr. Anyone know how to resolve it?

Always have a back up plan like for me for example I kept most of my files on my flash drive, and/or emailed most of my files to myself.

If ya dont have the password, the only option (from atleast what i know) is to reset, since it resets all settings, the password is reset too.
