iv changed the wheels on my cdti elite the wheels Iv put on have not got tyre pressure sensors can I turn off the warning light?
@EverydayThings
@EverydayThings 2 года назад
Unfortunately the warning light will stay on, the only way is to disconnect the sensor from the control panel (which is not recommended) or some models have a TPMS bypass emulator to "turn off" your tire pressure monitoring system, but the price is the same as the tire Sensors.

I haven't seen a similar problem so far, But this problem could be a damaged or shorted antenna near the wheel or a wiring fault between the antenna and the module, and because of this not receive a signal. Either the battery is low or empty (Dead). However, I hope that someone who is familiar with this problem or the same will give us a more accurate answer in this comment. Also, you can also look in the car Owner's Manual.

Pls if I put it,it’s only one Tyre that’s is responding by sounding horn
@EverydayThings
@EverydayThings 8 месяцев назад
It's essential to check the condition of your tire pressure sensors. If you're only getting a response from one tire and the others aren't displaying on your dashboard, it could indicate a problem with those sensors. Tire pressure sensors have batteries that can wear out over time. If your sensors are old, it's possible that the batteries have depleted, causing this issue. Consider replacing the sensors or their batteries to ensure all your tires are functioning correctly.

@@EverydayThings pls do you have idea of how much the sensor cost and wear to purchase it
@EverydayThings
@EverydayThings 8 месяцев назад
The cost of tire pressure sensors can vary depending on the make and model of your vehicle. On average, a sensor can cost around $20. You can find these sensors online through various retailers or even at local auto parts stores if you have one nearby. It's a good idea to check the specific sensor compatible with your vehicle to ensure you get the right one.

Hello mate! I’ve got Vauxhall Astra Sri 2012 is showing me code 128 and I can’t see my mileage please help
@EverydayThings
@EverydayThings 2 года назад
In the Vauxhall Opel Fault Codes List The Code 128 means "Bonnet open" Make sure your Bonnet is securely closed, if it is closed, then check the Bonnet lock, whether the lock contacts are good.

I’ve just bought new sensors and they don’t wanna activate.
@EverydayThings

Verify compatibility: Make sure that the new sensors you purchased are compatible with your GM Series vehicle. Different vehicles may require specific types of sensors, so double-check the compatibility with your vehicle's make and model. Check sensor installation: Ensure that the new sensors are installed correctly in each tire. Make sure they are securely mounted and properly positioned within the tire assembly. Battery activation: Some tire pressure sensors may require battery activation before they can communicate with the vehicle's system. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions or documentation that came with the sensors to see if battery activation is required and how to perform it. Sensor programming: In some cases, new sensors may need to be programmed or synced with the vehicle's system in order to activate them. Follow the steps outlined in your vehicle's owner's manual or the instructions provided by the sensor manufacturer to program the new sensors. Resetting the TPMS: If you've installed new sensors but they still aren't activating, you may need to reset or relearn the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) in your vehicle. Refer to the specific procedures outlined in your vehicle's owner's manual or consult a qualified technician for assistance with this process. If you've tried these steps and are still experiencing issues with activating the new sensors, I recommend reaching out to the manufacturer of the sensors or contacting a professional mechanic for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or guidance to help resolve the issue.

@@EverydayThings Approciate the quick reply. I’m going to get it checked out at a garage, worst case scenario I will replace them again and return the originally purchased. FYI I purchased via europarts who do automatic compatibility through registration plates.

Hello I’ve done it but every time I turn the car off it forgets it again? Anyone had this problem? Astra j Vxr 2012
@EverydayThings
@EverydayThings Год назад
This could be more problems, First, the tires are weak. The tire should be checked and inflated if it is weak. Or the tires have a problem and lose pressure quickly, which is a warning to check the tires. Second, may be a problem with the sensors in the tires, or weak batteries. You can check these two steps if you have another pair of tires to put them on and see if the same thing happens. If the same thing happens with other tires with sensors, then it may be a problem with the electronics of the car then you need to visit a mechanic.

@@thomassully2319 I'm not sure but of course you can try this one too. Do you relearn the tyre pressure before (for example last year)? and it was everything normal?

Why the hell should I have buy a device to reset a simple tyre pressure. Absolutely ridiculous. Can't wait yo get rid of my Astra J model. Top of the range and it's a load of crap.
@EverydayThings
@EverydayThings Год назад
This does not apply only to Opel / Vauxhall models, it applies to all General Motors vehicles, And as for some newer General Motors models, I think the pressure sensor resets itself, (you need to drive a few miles and it will reset)
