Love my Mytee Lite! I took it to a repair shop one time. Never again because they are so easy to work on myself. A few basic tools and some common sense and your machine will be back in operation way sooner than any repair shop will finish it.

What temperature water are you seeing on yours at the distal end of the hose? What temperature water are you putting in yours? I am wondering if others are seeing what I see in terms of temperature rise through the heater? So far, I see 14C rise...

I bought mytee lite 2 brand new it ended up costing me $1200 this spring 2017 . After 4 cars the heater doesn't heat the water anymore!! If I need to replace the heater pump after 4 cars that's terrible quality!! I own a detailing company and I would not recommend ...sorry Mytee very disappointed!

i bought mine brand new and after a few car detailing and couches, the heater stopped working, the upholstery tool started leaking, and the solution line burst at the female connection. fixed all of that 300 bucks later and then the vacuum stopped working. turns out it was getting foam inside of the unit where all of the components/wires are. what a bad design for that to happen. found out it will overflow down the vacuum hole so i siliconed where the vac goes down into the frame. what it really needs is a float ball just like a wet/dry vac.

Should the two thermostats on the mytee lite (8070) has sink compound between them and the block to transfer heat there on them? For that matter, should the heater rod have compound on it to drive heat from it into the block? I am looking at my lite not heating and trying to grasp hold of the issue and resolution.. I am quite technically competent, and there is not a lot of technical data available on this unit from Mytee unfortunately...

I have looked through the page and docs and videos there. I see basic info on checking the heating element, but seems confusing in that it speaks to using an ohmeter to check the amperage through it??? I am understanding that I need to ohm out the heater element to check for continuity if I am not mistaken.. I get roughly 15 ohms, so it is not open. I noticed the casing of the heater element is tarnished (brownish from heating up I assume). Should there be heat sink compound between the element and the aluminum heat box though? I saw a tiny bit of sink compound between the thermostats and the heat box, but it was not a tight fit... I assume the physical connection of the thermometers and the heat box does not need to be a tight fit in that the skin of the box is very rough compared to the flat surfaces of the thermostat bodies. What exactly is the temperature rise I should be seeing and will it be risen all the time that the switch is on for the heater? The hottest I am seeing at the wand is just over body temperature since I can spray on my bare hand feeling warm. I am beginning with room temperature water (20-27C)... I have verified operation of the thermostats and ohmed out the heater element to show 15 ohms. I have checked the wiring through the on/off switch to the heater system as well. The fit of the 1000 Watt element is not a super-tight fit against the walls of the heat chamber, so I am wondering if I should coat it with a thin layer of sink compound... There was none there when I pulled it out I noticed. I have a good flow and see a thick mist at the wand end, so I feel confident there is no restrictions in the line. I guess my question mainly lies in what should I be expecting at the distal end of the hose? Am I expecting a higher temperature than what I should see? I measured around 40C at the distil end with the water put in at 26C, so the rise I am seeing is basically 14C. I was expecting greater than this, but am I wrong here? The heater thermostats are not over-temp triggering, and I can not directly measure the current flow through the element to see what is being delivered in terms of wattage or Amperage since it should be higher than my meter will allow. Do you guys have any advice for me? I am wondering if my expectations are too high for what this unit can deliver...

Yes it is highly advised to not expose your machine to freezing temperatures without taking the proper steps to winterize your machine.
