Come on people. This dude took the time to help anyone that might need it and all you can do is complain, criticize, and talk shit? Pathetic. Classic example of projection. Thank you for the video bro. I had no idea what to do. Now I have my laptop up and running 👊
Agree brother, I am Computer illiterate. I get Punched in the Face for a Living. Perhaps you can help me farther, after I did this, I am now at a Screen that says Windows 7 home Premium. Can you help me from there???
It works!!! This is the first and only video that actually worked, it wasn't complicated at all everything was straight forward and it got done within the matter of 45 minutes, GREAT video it was the only one that works
Thank you so much, someone had gave me this computer and they never mentioned that they had a password on it and I didn't know how to factory reset it.
Thank you! I looked on Microsoft and Toshiba websites for help and neither one could help (they said to press F8 and F12 at startup). I can finally try to salvage my Toshiba netbook which hasn't been connecting to the Internet for a while. If factory settings don't work, I might have to replace it. Thank you for making this so simple.
Thank you so much because it took me forever to find out how to properly access advanced options. Everyone kept saying f8 when in reality all you had to do is press and hold the number 0 while starting the laptop. Thanks a million!
I've acquired a used Satellite C75D with Windows 8.1 installed. I wanted to boot into Ubuntu Linux from a USB drive but I couldn't get it to work, even after resetting the boot order in the BIOS. Your method got me to where I needed to go to get I wanted to find. I'm now looking at a brand-new Ubuntu 18.04 on that laptop, thank you very much. :)
Thank u so much. This helped alot. My computer which was hp was stuck on failure configuring windows update and no one else could help me. This video saved my computer and a trip plus money to my local computer technichian. U just earned a sub
Thanks... I have been having this problem for 2 years with my laptop and just been wanting to reset to factory and just this simple, it is done. To you all...... It works.
I cannot thank you enough for this video. You are a life saver. My lap top did not go into factory reset, but it did clear out whatever the last update was so that I get something other than a black screen. I didn't loose any files. Thank you!!!!!

Before starting you (they) should ensure that the have the recovery partition in their HD otherwise it does not work. laptop is offf- press key "0" (zero) all the time, then the power button, when the laptop starts let go of power button and when winmdows starts running release "0" (zero), and then just follow the steps of the video
Perdona, sigo los pasos y cuando me pregunta que si quiero iniciar la restauración digo que si y se me pone la pantalla en negro. Sorry, i'm following the instructions and when it ask me if i want start the rest the screen get black
Overall a positive instruction tutorial that is helpful, but in my opinion the user and needs to be more engaged with the comments and questions of people who need the answers that may differ from what the tutorial covers.
Thanks that worked for me kept watching other videos saying press F8 and select "repair my computer" but that was never an option for me - I think it's a Toshiba thing (trying to restore factory settings for xp)
It worked but i had to take my finger off of the zero because i was holding it down forever it seemed and then it allowed me to log in and then i held the zero down again and then the recovery of factory default option popped up and then is was allowed to do the recovery. Thanks for the info i can say it worked for me with a few different steps.
This process takes patience... So you press the power button and the zero button at the same time as soon as it starts up let go of the power button a few seconds after let go of the zero button. There might be a slight loud pitch that's normal as soon as you let go of the power and the zero button that noise will be gone.
STOP!DO NOT DO THIS! holding 0 is a hot key and it freezes your drive. This is used for Quick removal of drive. You Not be able to boot your computer up w Out restarting the drive. To do this fallow the steps and remove drive replace drive with new or reset current drive. To reset current drive open drive set pen to 0 and install.
Toshiba is actually not a very great brand of computer.. here's why to me.. 1. My toshiba always has a problem with my dad's and me and my sisters accounts.. 2. Toshiba is always doing this, like this happened to me 3 times in a year.. I'm gonna get a Windows or Dell soon for sure :l cuz toshiba is crap to me..
