How to reset your power windows.
in this video i show how my window won't stay up so i needed to reset it at the control panel first and then needed to register the switch on the window that won't close.

Worked! In case anyone reading: My passenger side back seat window wasn't going down using the master control switch (back seat window switches worked fine so I knew it wasn't the motor or anything worse) 1) followed your steps but instead I lowered the faulty window from the back seat switch 2) performed all steps using the driver side master switch driver side window switch 3) final step I used master control switch to raise the faulty window up and held for 2 seconds. 4) went to the faulty window and held the switch up for 2 seconds That did the trick! You're a true lifesaver!! We had our rear window stuck, unable to wind up for 9 hours. We tried several ways to fix this, watched videos in RU-vid, but nothing worked. Until i came across your video, and you mentioned about going to the rear window and do it physically, we tried & BAMMM IT WORKS!!!!! YOU ARE A LIFE SAVERRRR. Thank you. My area had tropical storm warnings and my window was not working. I watched tons of videos and majority wanted me to take the door panel off. I had the same problem on the passenger side window of my 2010 Nissan X-trail. It wouldn’t go up using the passenger switch but worked using the drivers side control panel. It doesn’t have auto up, but I did this and it worked!!! Thanks for your help.

Hell yeah.. Thank you thank you. I have a kia optima 2015 and it worked. A couple of things were slightly different. - My window was already down so I didn't press down at the very beginning of the demonstration. - After he did the 4 times and the up for 2 seconds at the driver control, I went to my rear passenger switch and held in the up position about 10 cause I was listening to him talk and the mirror started to go up. So the only difference was that I had to hold it up much longer than 2 seconds on the final step. You the man!! Thanks! It was super cold this morning driving to work and it's suppose to rain tomorrow too. Life saver!!

Wow this totally worked! I have a 2016 Accord and yesterday I drove through a giant puddle and all of sudden my passenger window stopped working completely from driver control. I could roll it down from the passenger side but the auto didn't work. So I just followed your steps with the driver door open but the whole time doing the repeated steps I was pressing the button on the passenger door only not the driver side then after the last step I pressed the auto down on the passenger then up and it worked and the control from the driver side worked too! Brilliant, Thank you. Worked on my 2007 2.2 Mk8 gen Civic. I had to change the drivers window regulator and it was bouncing back from the top. I followed GPTV's "How To" and it's all sorted now !

I had problems with both rear windows on a 2020 Acura MDX after kiddies were pressing buttons. This worked 90% of the way. The other 10% was holding the 2 sec on the problem window switch, not on the driver's switch. Great video bro'... Helped a lot, saved me from bringing it in to the dealer! Thx!

Stuck in a carpark right now in the rain and window wont go up. Toyota vids on utube are always "window wont go down". Well who cares? A window that wont go up; is a problem! Ive tried every toyota tip to reset; nothing works! So im resorting to a honda vid. Only thing that worked is the quick sharp up pulls on the switch. Thanks!

Great thanks Mr Hero. My Honda Insight 2012 front passenger seat power window started working after following your steps. But I am not able to control the window from Driver seat. Looks like I missed 2 second AUTO button up after 4th step sequence. Keep it up and keep posting... Cheers

Wow. So it can also be a geek thing. Just spent $300 on a new regulator installed today in my 2007 Honda Element passenger side window. Spent same but on drivers side in 2019 only to have it fail for a DMV road test that I must take every two years because I lost sight in one eye. Driver side window is the only one the DMV demands works. Since then, I never use the power windows under any circumstances because I've become ultra paranoid about malfunction. Had no idea alternative issues might be at play.

Some garages will charge you to change everything until they find the problem because they don't have to pay for it. Hopefully it works now for you.

thank you for the video, i tried on pajero mk3 it has denso switch.was doing the same problem .now i able to close the window but now automatic does not work. goes down all the way when i press continuously. going back up 5 cm and than 5 cm more when i press again .
