Ever since a recent video I have been referring to myself as "the me" and I was feeling a bit upset watching how nice your things looked (comparison is a B*!) And I simply said to myself "the me is feeling a tad jealous today" and instantly the objectivity made me feel 100% better! Love all of your videos and advice! Anxious awaiting my life map!
I do a clothing declutter seasonally. When I change out my clothes for spring/summer and fall/winter, I look at what I haven't worn or analyze what I really don't like and it goes off to the thrift store.
It amazes me everytime! I have rusty towel racks and stuff... But I'm like... SO not at a point yet where that is my obvi next to do! Theres SO much that has to be done before I'll get to that... But I have Hope. Let the sparking of Joy Begin! Konmarieing in 2020!
6:40 I follow the 20/20 rule when it comes to keeping items “just in case” The Minimalists wrote, “Anything we get rid of that we truly need, we can replace for less than $20 in less than 20 minutes from our current location.” I’ve rarely missed any of the items I thought I “needed”, most of the time I forgot I even had them and decluttered them anyway! 🙌 decluttering is definitely a process but it’ll become easier to let go as time goes on Here’s a link to the blog post 💕 www.theminimalists.com/jic/
Interesting blog post. Thanks for sharing! Another method for the "just in case" problem is the coathanger or box methods: basically you turn all your coathangers one way, and as you wear things you turn them the other way round. This can also work if you hide any objects in a box. If you use it within a year you find a place for it and keep it. If not... declutter. I am a fan of this method bc I dont like getting rid of things, especially if I might have to replace them anyway - wasting time and resources. I think there are a variety of method to get to the same end; its whatever suits your lifestyle/personality/habits best.
yessssss girrrl comes through with the contenttttt. they're just the best, they always me feel inspired and like I already have planned my life/decluttered before I even started lol
I love watching closet declutter videos...i used to hoard my stuff but since 1 year ago I've decluttereed so much and I enjoy the process😍. It feels so nice after . Plus donation is a good cause soo win win
I've moved states, so everything is pretty basic. But it's so funny how much of my stuff doesn't have a home. I've started this, this morning and I'm so happy I did. Things are getting homes and I feel much better already.
Im doing a space reset... though it consists of not major decluttering (though there may be some - I'm a minimalist by nature), but organising and some storage! Great tips - especially starting with a list! So excited :D
Girl I love u and that's exactly what I needed .... Also you somehow remind me of Hwasa from MAMAMOO idk why but something about your aura or vibe or just your confidence
MuchelleB you're the BEST! I love the way you organize the info in your videos in an easy way that we can actually follow. Thank you so much! I wish you a wonderful, happy productive new year.❤😊
Loving your videos and just subscribed. We need to do a whole house de clutter from loft to garage and ur right about when an area has no assigned use as our sun lounge has become a dumping ground. I want to turn it into a utility/ sitting space and hope we can use it all yr round as at the moment it gets freezing in winter and boiling hot in summer. So I need to figure that out. It’s not a conservatory so I can’t change the roof, it’s more of a building. But we can’t do too much until we get the garden sorted as we have to bring stuff through the house to do any gardening x which is a pain in the butt x can’t wait to watch more of your fab videos. Happy new year!!
Thank you sooo much for making this video! I've really been putting off cleaning up my home since the start of the Christmas break, but now I feel really inspired to declutter everything at once just because of this video.
uwwaaah first comment??? Just wanna say that I love your vibes and your voice is super comforting when you upload a new video. I also love how encouraging you are about resetting and starting fresh. I wish you lots of great vibes for 2020!
Tell Luke I totally agree with him on the spices! :) btw, I totally agree with you as well on decluttering before the New Year comes around. I do that every year so my New Year starts off fresh and clean. Decluttered home a decluttered mind! Oh and yes, pallets are big things here in the US as well. So many crafty things to do with them! We are making a shelving unit out of some for our bathroom! (it will look better than it sounds lol)
Love the organising and reset videos, they really motivate to actually get stuff done! The spices look so perfect, where did you find the jars they are in?
I always have issues because I have things that aren’t trash- but also not really donatable or sellable ... so I always end up just putting all that stuff in a box and ignore it 😂
@@amandahoney9289 Is the guilt because of waste and the environment? If so, you obviously are conscious enough of what you are consuming if you feel guilt and I can't imagine then that you are overly wasteful...so you are doing your best and need to acknowledge that every life on earth produces waste. Getting rid will allow you to feel even better about the clear space and will motivate you to live in that way. What do you think? Or is the guilt about something else entirely? Attachment to the past etc?
I have found that for think that a in question I put them in a location and if I use them then fine but if not I get rid of them we the knowledge I gave the a chance.
