The fact that he actually gave an alternative to his spray wax shows what a guy he is. Hard to come by in todays market, but don't get it twisted, any good enterpenuer doesn't need to bend over backwards to make you buy his product. Thats how its done.

what a guy. not only does he take the time to make amazing ( best I've seen by far ) but doesn't try to sell his stuff and tries to save us money. Awesome work mate and ill be only using your products from now on. I think you genuinely deserve everyone's support. Thanks again for the expert advice my cars never looked better !

What wins me over to this guy's videos is he's open about his opinions. He remains mostly neutral and even says that he's not interested in competing with the Big Guys like Sonax or Meguiars. I still do follow his advice on washing and drying cars and it helps a lot. His videos and tips are definitely worth the time/effort.

Thanks guys for your support. If you do anything in the public eye, you (meaning me) are going to get "haters". Its cool. Nothing we can do about it. Believe me, all I'm trying to do is help. Its fun to shoot videos and talk about cars. If some of my videos are more helpful than others, then I apologize...but they are free to watch and that guy is welcome to click the "stop" button anytime and go else where. Most people who dislike a video simply go on to another vid. Thx to my supporters!

Practice on scrap panels. When you do...try to burn through the paint so you can see what it feels like. Very helpful to know where the limits are. Send me an email if I can help in the future. -L

After eleven years as a detailer, it feels good to know I can still learn things on a regular basis. Thanks for these videos and your tips. Even though I closed shop when my son was born, I still use my old skills and stuff I learn from guys like you to keep my own fleet looking its best. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for posting. I am an amateur enthusiast and I do my own vehicles and a few for my family as well as my police car. We have take home, assigned patrol cars which is nice because I can keep it perfectly clean and I try to. What I really like about your videos the most, honesty. You are honest. If a product works, you say it works. If it doesn't, you say it's no good. I also like the fact that you always say "It's up to you, do what YOU want, i'm just trying to help". Thanks!

Comes off easily...but I dont get a ton of sling using MF cutting pads and a DA. Rotaries cause more sling than normal. But you're right its best to tape off and cover stuff....I kinda skip that sometimes because I rarely sling anymore. (you caught me cutting corners! lol) -L

Thanks. Paul is a great guy and a fantastic detailer. A good beginner polisher is the Griots DA....its a bit cheaper. The Rupes is a "better" machine if you are a pro and need to correct paint much faster. However, its 3x the price. Its worth it to me..but maybe not for a casual detailer. Hope that helps! -L

LBigJake14 Because they're bogus. They're literally just a bunch of hipsters using mass produced products with their names on it. I'd put my money with Larry's products before any of those guys. And I'm not trying to plug the guy or kiss his ass. It's just that I've seen his background on /DRIVE and why they took this guy on. He did the chemical end for YEARS. Learned a lot about good and bad products.

You are a car restoration God. I found your $1,000,000 Ferrari Restoration on RU-vid and I didnt just learn alot of your techniques but also the Ferrari's body panels. Too bad your videos have not been around for the past 30 yrs in which I have owned over 40 cars. My favorite was a 77 Datsun 280Z. It was already in showroom condition and I got many responses from people on how nice it was but with your "magic" that car would be F'ing hot :-) Thanks for the vids and keep them coming.

Hey bud...it really depends on how hard the paint is, and what color the car is. Black is always a pain in the butt. Its always a good idea to do a finishing step if you are looking for that last 10% of shine. -L

You finally connected the dots between..ol school removal of swerl marks, I call it spider web...and the use of the micro fiber swerl removal process using the micro fiber cutting pad...then onto the polishing phase of use of the green foam polishing pad.....Thanks alot. I do upkeep on my friends 2016 Blk Suburban and 2009 Blk Avalon...there really gonna be blown away after I use this technique on there vehicles.

Sam, it depends on what type of scratch or "imperfection" you are trying to remove/repair. In this video I used Meguiars D300 with a Microfiber Cutting Pad. I mostly use this system when restoring paint. much safer and easier. Good question!
@AMMO-NYC
@AMMO-NYC 11 лет назад
Not necessarily. If the paint needs it...then yes. If not, dont waste your time. Assess the paint, then make a decision. Good question. -L

Hey bud, its most likely getting "stuck" on the rubbery texture of the plasti. Best bet is to use a short hair microfiber wash mitt and then use air or squeegee to remove the water. (For the record, I would NEVER recommend this on regular or normal paint. Plasti is a totally different ballgame) Hope that helps! -L
