Do you leave the string stuck/pushed into the sizing hold tabs, when feeding the two string ends out thru the final holes?

And if you happen to find the instructions they will be impossible to understand.

Any idea where to find replacement springs? I went to every hardware store, I've searched in stores, online asked neighbors &multiple stores&their associates&only receive a perplexed look&then told "yeah,I don't think we carry those here, sorry " Yes, I have searched online. However, let me be purely honest, I am not what ud call "computer savvy"&so not doubt that my internet search was not as effective as it prob should have been 🤷‍♀️.
