If those bulbs get hot I may recommend a high temp spray paint. My chrome paint is bubbling from the heat. Is there an LED bulb out there that doesnt suck really bad? My 04 currently has LEDs but probably the cheapest ones. I cant see anything at night it's the worst.

When you took off the anti-glare shield, did you also take off the bracket that holds it. I am trying to put in the projector but that bracket is in the way of letting the back of the projectors threads to fully go through the headlights

After having a car with HIDs after a couple years expect to replace them if you drive it often... or get LEDs cheaper, brighter, less energy, more durable, no warm up time, can be color changing, less hardware to go wrong like ballasts etc, the bulbs don’t get near as hot, on and on and on 😂

Only problem with HIDs is they generate a lot of heat. Personally I think that a good set of halos(not easy to find!) would look much better and they are way cheaper if you use leds. BTW...there was almost no difference in brightness when you put on high beams. Remember on this project that once you open the seal on your headlights, if they are new, you can never return them if things go badly! And you better seal them well when done or they will fill up with water in the rain and short out. As far as chrome goes, this is just a matter of personal taste as well as application. What I mean is that yes, black outs look good on your color car, but I have a silver metallic Terminator and chrome sets off my silver perfectly! To each his own I guess.
