So glad I watched a vid about rev matching shortly after I got my R6 and I’m glad I actually wanted to and did learn it. I cringe at my pre rev match gopro footage
Couldn’t really hear it, but Im learning and starting to get it I think. The motor will climb RPMs once you let out the clutch anyway to catch up, so it’s just blipping it so it has less distance to travel, so to speak. I engage my clutch a little bit late from the blip sometimes, but not always - so I think I am starting to get it
Hey adobo I'm loving your content! Just wanted ask, do you wear ear plugs when you ride? I've only been riding for few months on my wee little yamaha r25 (with ear plugs) and I have already developed some slight hearing loss and tinnitus
I wear earplugs and I highly recommend them. You can find earplugs that reduce noise just enough to take the edge off and still hear traffic. Not only can a loud exhaust damage your hearing over time, but the wind noise can also be harmful.
please please wear earplugs!!! i have hearing loss from years of playing in hardcore bands and even then it's still it's getting worse on motorcycles. also learn how to wear a foamy properly and safely, not too deep or too shallow, create a full seal.

@@harizontal3372 oh no ): im so sorry to hear that. glad you're making the choice that's right for you. in future, if you have the budget, a fancy quiet helmet + custom molded plugs make the experience a WHOLE lot better. if u dont have the cash for that, enjoy your time with your loved ones!
So what is the Sequence? Pulling in clutch blipp throttle and then downshift while releasing clutch? Or pull clutch downshift and then while u release clutch u give a little bit of gas or blip the throttle
Now does it matter if you blip the throttle first or the shift first? Personally I obviously clutch in first and shift gears then blip throttle as long as the clutch is still pulled in
I still dont get it. Is it just letting the bikes engine lower its own speed under the pressure off the gears being geared down. Sprry if this is a stupid way to explain it. I just dont get it it and this is the only way it started to make sense to me.
I have a semi clutch bike. Blipping the throttle when you are lowering the gear reduces the engine braking effect. Hence, it makes your gear shifting to a lower gear smooth
Love your content, but I wish you stayed on topic for this short. Rev matching is something I attempt to do everyday with varying levels of success. It's a bit more technical than the 4 seconds you committed to this topic.. UNDERWHELMING
Order of operation is: 1. pull the clutch 2. blip 3. downshift 4. let go of clutch Now it's a matter of finding the right timing and amount of blip, which you need to figure out yourself
Its the downshifting while braking which I find hard. Easy in a car hard on a bike. I front brake with 2 fingers but can't blip the throttle without jerking the brake lever. So frustrating

I ride a CB500X so not a sports bike 😂 it tends to dive quite a bit when braking due to the long travel suspension so not sure if coming on and off the brakes quickly would unsettle it. I know its not designed to be ridden hard but I'm just trying to get my technique sorted for when I get something faster. 👍
