Things that I always didnt quite understand fully is quantitative study. I know how to conduct a research, I know how to choose the appropriate method, framework etc. But still I have no idea on how to pick the appropriate coeficient, realibility and so on. Please it would be very amazing if you could create a video crash course for quantitative study. Best regards

I am wondering what to do if all my responses are negatively coded? Do I still transform them? I have three psychometric scales two of them have both negatively and positively scaled values and one of them only has negatively coded variables. What do I do? Do I transform all of them regardless? Also are statements like this negatively coded 'When I see or hear someone who is scared, it makes me feel scared too', I'm assuming its not but I am not sure.
If all items of a variable are negative, there might be no need to reverse code them. In psychometric scale construction, reverse coding is typically used to ensure that responses to negatively phrased items align with the overall scoring direction of the scale. However, if all items are framed negatively, they inherently contribute to the same directionality of measurement. In such cases, reverse coding may not be necessary as long as the scoring logic is consistent across all items and scales.

Sir how can we know which items is positive and which item is negative in attitude scale.. Sir because somewhere I read that we can't consider any questions negative just on the bases of not.. If yes then how can we come to know that which question is +ve and which question is -ve.....,....,............ And sir when we do reverse coding doesn't the responses contradict with each other.......... Regards...
@@kulsumanazir9670 for instance if you are measuring job satisfaction. Out of three item two are directing positive aspect, while one is directing opposite to job satisfaction. In such case you will need to reverse third item before running any analysis. It not the matter of "not", It matter of sense of construct and items measuring that variable must be in the same direction as the direction of the variable.
No need to change the sentence, it will remain same in data collection. If it is opposit to other items then reverse coded the respondent's response for that item.
