Honestly skateboarding is a lot harder than it looks. When I got my pennyboard, I thought I'd hop on and be cruising down the street, but the second I stepped on it and pushed off for the first time, I fell right off haha

I've had a penny board for a few years now but I never learned how to ride it, so I found the video very useful. You helped me overcome my fears of riding it.

I am 42 and I picked up skateboarding with a 32 inch penny two weeks ago to have something to mix up my every day running sessions. I will not learn tricks, just cruise around -- many thanks for putting this together, it seems to help me picking up the basics pretty fast. :)

I’m in my basement trying to learn how to ride a penny board and I fell trying to turn the hard way where you lift up you penny board I slapped my hand on the ground and it hurts but I’m not giving up and I’m ok and I know I won’t get it right away IM WAY BETER NOW

I think my issue with riding a penny board or just skating in general is balance. i get too scared when i start pushing.

I got my pennyboard today and even though I still have some problems turning and stopping it was really fun to be able to ride it on the first day, I was a little scared because I tried riding my brother's skateboard a few years ago and I thought it was impossible back then, I felt so happy when I manage to put both of my feet on the board within 30 minutes of practicing

Awesome video and you have a gift for teaching... I am 45y and always wanted to learn how to skateboard but never did even though I hung out with all the skaters in the 80s and 90s of my youth. My son just turned 3y yesterday and I got him a 22in Penny board. He wants to skip right to the tricks already as I had to tell him "no stairs!" the day I gave it to him which was a few days before his birthday. You not only give me the confidence to teach him these basics but now I am considering ordering the bigger board for myself! To be cont. ..

I just got into “Cruising” is what they call it. I was never good at tricks so I’m sticking to cruising now. And I saw this channel and I love it already. I love the man and his voice the first 3 seconds I saw/heard him.

I learned how to push on a nickel board after two hours I had it down this was at my cousins house then for a week straight it's all I thought about I watch braille videos every second of the day I learned all the basics and EVERYTHING then I noticed I wanted a skatedboard not a nickelboard then it ''twas my grandmas birthday (I live with her) when we got out of dinner with my family my older cousins boyfriend was talking to me and I KEPT talking about skateboarding and he was like "oh I have a skateboard if you want it" I FREAKED out he got it out of the trunk it REALLY beat up but I was idc I love it I tried to push and almost fell 😂 that's how I learned nickel and skateboards are very different I rode for 6 hours a day for a week (I still do it) was comfortable with pushing carving and tic tacing and I've been working on my ollies for 4 days I did my first one today I'm SOOOOO HAPPY now I do them every time now I'm working on my shuv it's wish me luck 😊❤️

Learnt how to ride it yesterday and have been on all day for two days. Today I fell off for the first time but got straight back up and carried on (weren't wearing and protection stuff) but it's fun so definitely recommend

I've had my 22 in Penny for a few years now and only ever used it to get around the city and campus. Now with this quarantine, I've spent a lot more time cruising and wanting to get a skateboard to start learning tricks.

I was going down a hill on a penny board and I was going REALLY FAST so I tried stopping and I ate it sooooo hard I had to get 5 stitches in my right hand on my palm........... now I'm scared of hills and penny boards.

I don't have good balance in general how tf am I supposed to skate 😂😂

First time ever on a skateboard today and I got a full size one coming Monday. It’s soo fun but so hard to even go in a straight line😂I get rolling for about 10 seconds feel like a boss then a pebel just humbled me really fast😂thanks for all the tips

Have had a Nickle board for years and love it, ordered a penny to try something else

personally I think that "nickel" boards work really well for getting around. For some people penny boards are too small for their feet and wobble too much when going fast. Some people don't want to have to carry around a longboard as they think it's too heavy and bulky. IMO "nickle" boards are a good in between bec they are not too heavy or too big and they go pretty fast too. But that's just my opinion.

i watched this video about a year ago when my friend gave me her 22’ penny board. this video helped me get into penny boards and now i can ride them. im not the best but i can definitely do it now. props to quarantine for giving me the time to practice for myself aha. im 14 btw 🥸🤝✨

These have been around since forever. Please don't hate on what started everything. I understand there are TONS of posers or preppy girls who have them as accessories. Hate the people, not the board! The board can't decide who buys it. As someone who actually has one, rides it everyday I can, and has modified it a good amount I feel it's a great cruiser that shouldn't be hated.

I remember when I lived in California for 3 months in 1978, when I was 12 (I went there from the UK) I had a plastic skateboard. Loved it.

Not gonna lie, when I put both my feet on the board, I barely turn my front foot and keep it forwards and I balance just fine lol

I bought my penny board for 5$ brand new from a shop going bankrupt. Lol
