I’m not ready for large stairs yet but I like seeing the step by step process building up to stairs comfort level. Thanks for a great video explanation.
I recently rode three stairs and was glad to have survived it in one piece....🤣😎🤣 After a few times it went quite well and your tips will help me to try more stairs, thanks for that 😊
dang! thats 1 more stair than I've done! after watching this tho I'mma go tackle a 3 step stair... then get tail bone pads, then try a 4 step stair lol
Indeed, when you go down a staircase with speed, the wheel will slide on the crests of the steps. It's like going down a ramp. On the contrary, going down them at low speed means receiving the impact of each step and it will be much more difficult to maintain balance. Another tip that I would add is that in the middle of a technical descent, fear can make you try to stop the machine. If you do, you will fall. You can slow down, but never try to stop.
@@mr_wrongway Good to know! I went out yesterday and ripped down a 5 step staircase a few times thanks to the video! Got so pumped! I'll wait till I get a Veteran or something before going too crazy.
@@mr_wrongway well I kept going back to my stair set and the suspension is definitely deflated a bit more than usual, its kinda balance between wheel destroying and fun... sorry my wheel you're just gonna have to take another one for the team
Great tutorial! I like the progressive technique. The Extreme is the perfect candidate for this type of riding. If I find myself in a more urban area, I'll give stairs a try. Also, to fix "pokey finger through glove" syndrome, use a whip stitch to close the hole from the outside, and seal with super glue.
.. why not V11????? (surely the first suspension wheel should get a mention??,, lol, yes,, I ride one!!) Seriously though,, I hav yet to do stairs,, a step, sure, I can do that,, but stairs, the only set I've found bend in the middle so I'm scared,, lol,, true story! Intertested to kno why not V11???
I'v been riding down the steps on my v11 seated, it's way softer that way. Just don't try to stop or slow down while doing it and it will be fine. 130/70 psi combo for suspensions (i weigh about 75+kgs)
yet again, awesome video! and please bring the backwards one, u can't tease us doing it without teaching! :P Also, where can i find that backpack and pants? are they on amazon?
Thanks! Appreciate it :) okay maybe I’ll combine it with a trick video :) the backpack is by Richa and pants just basic ones from New Yorker. The protective ones are by Fuse protection
@@amsterdenko9854 I used to put gloves under my wrist guards. Lately I've gotten real motorcycle gloves which feel super protective and comfortable, albeit way over kill and $$
