Now a video where you see who can do the highest normalized power without dropping the group

Awesome vid. Similarly, I'd love to see a comparison test of power in the draft vs out in the wind at different speeds and/or different gradients. Perhaps 16/20/24/28 mph, spanning the range of casual group ride to P12 pacelines. I've got an e-gravel bike that could help lead you and Will out at up to 32 mph and am not far from you, lmk if you'd like to collaborate!

It should be pointed out that 208/180 > 218/196; so the Will strategy was better in terms of minimising power fluctuation (smoother).
@bigredlemon
@bigredlemon 4 месяца назад
But the competition wasn't to see who had the smoothest power. Will was smoother but paid the price by being in the wind more often to be smooth. He still used more normalized power.

A bit of constructive criticism here: I think most of us beginner races struggle to hold low power only when there are sharp and fast corners with big accelerations afterwards. This course you raced was pretty much a straight line, in which it wouldn't be as hard for a beginner racer to stay in the group and hold low power. But I think the tips you gave apply to any course, so still a great video!
