I like that you actually show some steep gnar terrain. So many vids are super easy beginner. I recently changed to a more neutral position. Good stuff!

Great tips Danica! My fav tip for everyone is TRUST YOUR FRONT BRAKE! It’s never fun hitting a roll & start fish tailing around when applying too much rear brake. Even pressure 🤘

You've got some skills, Danica! Love the video and the helpful tips. My biggest problem is stuffing my front wheel on occasion and going OTB on steep, chunky rolls. I think this is because I'm not in a neutral position to absorb the hit.
Yeah things are tricky because while position tips are great starting points- you have to be moving to match the terrain when things get steep and chunky!
Nice work on those rocks! What grips do you use? Never paid attention until this video. I'm hoping to apply some of this to my next ride after surgery. I'll still be on my hardtail but it'll be good to get the form down before I get my full sus bike!
That was a great tutorial thanks. How do you do stupid steep ones? I feel like I need to shift my weight all the way back to avoid going over the bars. Is this fear unfounded?
Great question. Although scary, it's usually the case that you need to stay neutral (which feels like you're forward) even on the steep ones. Of course there's a spectrum here, but if you get too far back you can lose control going from the flat to the steep depending on how the roll begins. And if you're too far off the back on the run out, the force on the transition can cause you to lose control as well. Bit of trial and error, but good luck!
