If you are in Salt Lake City or a nearby city from Ogden to Provo, you can take public transportation during the day (excluding Sunday) to get to the SLC Airport. In this video, I board the UTA FrontRunner Train at the Layton Station, and ride it to the North Temple Station in Downtown SLC. From there, I connect to the Green TRAX line, which takes you the rest of the way to the airport: all for a total of less than $4 in my case.
Note: Even though I begin at the Layton Station, the method for getting to the airport still stands, regardless of which FrontRunner Station you begin at. Also, if you're starting off at the Airport, you can think of this video in the reverse order for knowing how to get to Downtown SLC. Filmed on June 11, 2024.

$3.70 is a pretty good price to get to the airport from that far away. I imagine it'd be $20+ for an Uber. The airport looks so giant inside compared to what it used to feel like.

A Lyft or Uber from there typically goes for $40. And yes, it's crazy how they transformed the entire airport!
