I've been "fishing" for years, and I put it in quotes because I didn't know what the heck I was doing half the time; but I decided to take it a little more seriously so I can teach my son. And we've gone out several times the past few weeks and I'm so excited to try these puppies out. He's already caught more fish at 9 than I have in my entire life, so I must be doing something right. Anyway, I hear nothing but good things about these Senko's and gotta get out there ASAP now. Thanks for the video.

I started using wacky rig with the plastic worm this year. Love it, never skunked , while I was out with my wife, she saw how many bass I had caught, she wanted me to fix her up with the same rig. That did it, going out this weekend to buy her a spinning rig, she has turn to a bass killer. Love it. They just kill the rig. Bass were deep hit in first cast.

I like the 40lbs mono trick he did to help the bait last longer. Cheap and easy, especially if you don’t feel like spending the extra money on the Gamakatsu style Spring-lock/Impact soft bait hooks. Although I highly recommend you get some in your tackle cuz they’re awesome. And I’m definitely gunna try that trick out, thanks a lot for the tips and God bless you all 🤙

Just a thought on the Wacky rig; I'm thinking that a very small split shot pinched onto the line or the hook shank might also be a good way to fish a weighted wacky rig. A small package of those assorted split shot that come it the circular red dispensers would provide a good assortment of sizes. I've never tried it, but I've never thought about using a jig head to whacky rig wither.

Great vid. Love the quick pegging system especially on days the fishing is really good. Saves $. However I feel the mojo rig does have one distinct disadvantage compared to a typical Carolina rig with bead and swivel. If a finicky fish bites and pulls back in a direction that is away from the weight, the mojo rig allows the bass to feel the weight drag. As opposed to a Carolina rig, where the weight able to slide freely, without the fish feeling the added resistance. It may not make a difference all the time, but in post frontal conditions it allows that light-biting bass to hang on a second longer.

If you rig the wacky worm rig with the Wacky “O” Ring using the “O” Ring tool its real fast and simple and makes your wacky worm last a lot longer as opposed to punching through the middle of the wacky worm as showed in the video. The other set ups were great though . A lot of times when you get a strike the worm will tare up from the fish hitting it . Other wise you will go through a ton of senkos or yum dingers. The Mono through the eye on the Texas Rig is very Genius.

The most deadly way that I have found in really tough conditions is to texas rig it on a light wire ewg hook and then tail weight it with a nail weight. It gives it that strange fall when you let it drop. It actually backs up or so it seems anyway.
@cmoore185
@cmoore185 8 лет назад
No, a neko rig doesn't even have to be a senko. It is basically a wacky rigged worm with an actrual nail in the bottom soi it will hop. When I said nail weight, I just meant a tungston or lead weight inserted in the tail. We used to call that nail weighting years ago and the term stilll sticks. I fish a neko rig in shallow clear water peith hard bottom for small mouths.

Very informative vid! Thank you for taking your time to make it and upload. When you are demonstrating your drop-shot rig, it almost looks like your worm hook is on a swivel. Did you put a hook on a 3-way swivel? How did you rig that? Trying to rig it with a mooching knot leading down to the drop-shot weight has worked OK for me, but I'm curious what you did there as a pro.
@bassresource
@bassresource 8 лет назад
+CT034 Hi CT034, I use a VMC Spinshot hook which, as you noticed, is a hook on a swivel. It also has line ties for rigging. I like it because it prevents line twists, plus it allows the bait to move freely. BTW, I am not sponsored by VMC. The hook is my personal preference.

Man I still haven't had any success with this one yet it's crazy. Think I've just been fishing the wrong spot though, everybody around here tells me it's the way to go so theres gotta be something to it I'm missing. Gonna try a different lake tomorrow.

If u want a weighted texas rig but not a bullet sinker that will get hung up just take some nails that you would use to hang a picture with and stick them in the top of the bait
@kadenzdroik2409
@kadenzdroik2409 5 лет назад
Or even with wacky put the nails in the ends of the worm

Never have any luck on senkos but for some reason I ended up with about 10 bazillion I got free. I Always use ribbon worms or finesse ones.
