No, The ECM will detect an open circuit and basically derate to something like a no boost safe mode. So your 400-500hp engine will act like a super sluggish 250hp engine. that's the first thing I tried.
@@m23jumpman I ordered a potentiometer set off amazon. To my knowledge these sensors operate at around 0.5v to 4.5 volts, so if the ECM sees roughly 0.0v or 5.0v it will throw a "open circuit" or "shorted to high" code respectively.

While doing this the entire time would be retarded, knowing how to do it isn't a bad thing. I believe the point of the video is just to teach people how it works.
