I have watched a few methods to roll for the first time. What I like about this method is one person, no extra devices like clamps or pipe to mold to. First time I saw the rolling the opposite way to flatten the bend. Thanks I will be getting my T-Brick in a couple weeks.

I rolled it at 45 degrees, slid the rings up as it formed then after I had a full pipe, pulled the ends out until it was done. Did it on my own in ten mins with no dents! Thanks for the video

Very educational! After 30 minutes (and a cut in my hand) I gave up. Next time I’ll do it this way! Where did you get that spark arrestor? I’m trying to make on with fine wire mesh around the top, and a pipe clamp around it.

Excellent demonstration. First time your burn in your stove if you do it at dusk burn it to get stove pipe a little red. Let fire completely burn out and cool down. Turn stove pipe upside-down, attach to stove and Repeat. The pipe metal will now have a temper to the shape the pipe should take and will role much easier next time. Some short steel fishing leadership the top of the pipe were you tie lines to anchor the pipe will keep the lines cleaner.
@johnmoore5293
@johnmoore5293 Год назад
I would add the first rolling of pipe easier done inside or on a pavement that in the field so you don't get permanent wrinkles in the metal.

If taken care of properly how long will the titanium chimney pipe last in comparison to the stove? Would you normally expect to replace it?

Is it really necessary to have such a long stove pipe? I'm seeing Pomoly offer non-rollable stove pipes that are 4.5 feet tall. Why not offer 4.5 feet tall rollable pipes, too? And how much clearance do I really need from my tent?
@POMOLY
@POMOLY 2 года назад
Sorry to trouble you. The height of our tents is generally higher, so the height of the stove pipe will also be higher. We suggest that the general use height of the stovepipe should exceed the height of the tent.

I have a Tegimen hot tent. The top of the tent is 75 inches high, How high should the chimney extend above the peak of the roof? The titanium stove pipe that came with my stove Pomoly stove is 119 long. With the spark arrestor at the top, it's stands 143 inches tall! How much should I cut off, and what should I do with the piece that I cut off?
@POMOLY
@POMOLY Год назад
Your tent is 75 inches (190 cm) tall, it is recommended that the stove pipe be 30 cm (1-2 feet) higher than the tent. You can use a 2.5 meter stove pipe. If you have a titanium rolling stove pipe, you can cut off the excess and dispose of the trimmed off yourself. 1-2 feet above the peak height of a hot tent. High enough to avoid sparks flying up onto the fabric, but not too high for the pipe to avoid too much wind and shake around.

I have a jack with a 3.5-inch diameter hole, but my pipe is 2.5 in diameter. Is there a way to fix this after-the-fact?
@POMOLY
@POMOLY Год назад
Do you think your 2.5" stove pipe is too small for the 3.5" stove jack? A wider gap between the stove jack and stove pipe reduces the risk of the hot pipe burning the stove jack.

rich manbad you only need to do this one. The first time you use the stove, the metal has a "memory" it goes back to this form automatically. It's pretty nifty.
@MsHurricane70
@MsHurricane70 2 года назад
This technique only has to be used once for the initial burn in. After that, it will easily unroll and form into the tube shape needed for each use. Check out @lonewolf902 videos. This one in particular at 3:52 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hzv9cyH8QGQ.html. The benefit of rollable pipe is easier to pack for backpacking or pulk sledding.

I managed to roll mine and place the containment rings on, it looks a mess, as if its made from crunched up, old, reformed ,coke cans with a sharp edge running the whole length 9 ft. Notice in this video he keeps the dangerous, exposed, sharp edge on the opposite side from the camera view so you don't see it properly. Its unsafe for you, and your tent.
@POMOLY
@POMOLY 2 года назад
Thank you for your attention. For sharp edges, we provide cut-resistant gloves. The fireproof cloth of the tent is very tough and will not be easily cut. Pay attention to safety when using it, and use it in a standard manner. thank you for your support!

The smaller one is for storing the stovepipe (use the smaller ring to fix the stovepipe when you put it away). Just like when you just took the stove pipe out of the package.

Carbon deposits can be removed with a stiff brush and then washed with water. Or burn it sufficiently with a flame to let the carbon deposits burn off.
