Great video! I always did the Italian, but I was doing it wrong, above the elbow and it always unfold by itself in worst time possible (perhaps because I was folding above the elbow)

In the Royal Navy working shirt sleeves either had to be down and buttoned, or rolled up beyond the elbow. A tight role is not ideal to achieve this. But a large neat three roll worked perfectly. It also helped that the shirt sleeves were not tight as this restricts movement.

the dimensions and the rolls change if you have shirts with french cuffs because of the width of the cuffs. guess you shouldn't be rolling sleeves with french cuffs!

Dunno, the part way up the forearm thing looks kinda feminine. When I take it past the elbow it looks better because it exposes my muscular forearms.

kenneth charles bermejo She said it to say that the method works/looks well enough to be used in GQ, as well as explaining why she calls it the GQ roll. Doing a shoot for GQ is likely no big deal for her at this part of her career.

As a man, I these rolls are impractical and feel quite silly. The whole idea of rolling up the sleeves is to get them out of the way. The two most physical part of the arms that touches things the most are the wrist and the elbow. It make no sense to roll it have way.
